TIL the BBC commissioned Matt Berry to do a nativity show a couple of decades back. Quite the cast: the Mighty Boosh guys and Matt Lucas. It is bananas and possibly the best use of 28 minutes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JS1e...
Have reposted as I missed clipping the best bits. But, yeah.
The conclusion of a very long story tip, from a guy wanting me to expose his trespassing from a pet store because of “conduct issues”.
And he also podcasts for the Manosphere and claims sex with women is gay.
Ofc The Deep drives a Cybertruck. #TheBoys
i feel bad for our country but this is tremendous content
Evolving US view of Hormuz:
-The Strait is open.
-Iran closing the Strait is a breach of international law.
-The Strait is open if you're not a wuss.
-Please help me reopen the Strait.
-We started this war to keep the Strait open.
-We are now blockading the Strait.
It out-Paradoxes Paradox in terms of complex system management and having a learning curve approaching vertical. But it’s fun failing!
Ok. Gonna roleplay Musk as Exodus. Make heaps of money, own Mars and space, and ignore all petty earth problems until I can skip this tall poppy trap.
Ok, I'm gonna fire up Terra Invicta again and see what two years of EA development has cooked up. Can't wait to spend 15 hours clawing my way into my first space habitat only to be wiped on Independence Day.
The Onion nailed this issue way back in 2015, before he'd even taken office the first time: theonion.com/admit-it-you...
Oh, alright then.
I brought Michelle my button cocooned in hairs and string as tribute and trophy, and she said "That's disgusting, put it in the bin".
High five!
I have revived the dishwasher! Hail the Machine Gods! (I'm researching replacements and pray it can stagger on until after Ester.)
My Bosch washing machine has trucked along with daily use and zero problems (outside of a few buttons clogging the drainage pipe I can resolve myself) for ten years. I am sold.
Think we're at four years. Out of warranty and into the limbo netherworld hellscape of the Consumer Guarantees Act's "reasonable" lifespan.
I've dealt with this before. The online guides gives you just enough hope to think that hours of fiddling and tilting might resolve the issue. But even if you get it to cycle again, apparently happy, you know the ailment is likely terminal and anxiety takes root.
The dreaded F30 dishwasher error. As good as a sign as any that civilisation is crumbling before our very eyes.
I play RDR2 just to leisurely sip whisky in a saloon and play poker for hours on end. Total chillmaxxing.
A play set in the changing rooms, a dialogue between Crowe and Muldoon as they put on makeup and suspenders, would make quite absurd theatre.
Somewhere in DC or Norfolk a banner-printing firm gets an order for an aircraft carrier-sized “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” in ornate gold font. The printing technician sets up the all-night job then liquidates their 401 and logs onto Polymarket….
No. They’ve suffered hugely, but will claim a draw to be victory. As will the US!
Every political leader secretly dreams of the wartime or civilisational crisis popularity bump. But it doesn’t manifest if there is no actual war or crisis, or if you’re the one who started it.
It’s extremely niche, but feels like getting a free pass to the office of naval intelligence.
There's a fun inverse of Moore's Law in Defence. Augustine's Law posits the cost of military aircraft increase tenfold every two decades. First posited in 1984, it seems to still hold. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augusti...
MBIE is improving fast: The time between me writing that story this morning and this afternoon has seen the awareness gap shrink markedly (and incoming supplies bulge significantly).
Why the Imperium never thought to export water to Arrakis to offset their ridiculous spice trade deficit I will never know.
Many thanks to @starboardintelligence.com and @maritimekiwi.bsky.social, again, for their analysis and pretty visualisation.
