trump's America

You need to apologize for your recent smear of the Democratic party. If you are unaware of the party's vision, that's on you--especially since the national Democratic party has the same agenda you have. BTW 100 years ago--the time when you say Dems had vision--the party was segregationist.

question:

a family I know paid rent for their immigrant neighbor as he was out of work for during the ICE surge.

he still needs help. he is a contractor. the family needs an urgent bathroom repair and can't afford his rent this month. BUT he has the skills to do it.

could we crowdfund this?

Gallego: "You said…Trump never demanded you cut interest rates in your job interview. Is that your sworn testimony?"

Warsh: "That is."

Gallego: "Someone here is lying then, it's either you or President Trump."

SO now you are in the being rude stage--another de facto give. Good byl

You have lost the plot. Yes, Mamdani won a Dem primary with Dem votes against 2 really bad Dems. That's Democrats doing representative govt. right. EVERYONE has to hold their nose and be willing to vote for their not-preferred candidate in the general because any other behavior would be selfish.

changing the subject which is a defacto admission that you need to change your mind on some of your earlier positions.

Now you are in total bullshit territory. Dems have tried repeatedly to undo Citizens United which was a Rethug SC decision. The DoJ is an independent agency, not a branch of the executive. You don't seem to understand govt 101. We have three branches of govt and independent agencies. You are also

Now you are really reaching--and showing that your opinions are based on style rather than reality. Biden in two years with a tiny majority passed two sets of landmark legislation--that's a REAL accomplishment. You seem to think that if he should have been a ranter with no real accomplishments.

There's a lot of ignorant-but-doesn't-know-it behavior, which is very MAGA-like. I am concerned that it will result in flakes, fakes, and wackos winning primaries against good competent Democrats. Platner, for example. He's getting support for being the shiny object while Mills is the real thing.

I have the same reaction and I think it is leftover from past Vichy Dem behavior but I can't think specifically what.

Sorry the faux victimization pity party just wasn't warranted. Mamdani is a good mayor but he should not have made his stupid statement about the Democrats and should apologize.

As for kicking and screaming--you seem to think Mamdani was entitled to get the D endorsement even though not a Democrat. The entitlement is with everyone else, all the Democrats who are entitled to think about and discuss the newcomer before making up their minds.

One of his fellow Dems in the Dem establishment? Nope. One of his fellow Dems (interesting word choice there) is one of his fellow Dems. Most of the Congressmembers changed their positions and the issue was Isreal, not Mamdani's policies were are conventionally liberal and not new at all.

They are ignorant and don't know it, which is very MAGA.

I didn't miss my flight. My flight missed me and everyone else

8 hours ago 0 0 0 0

Well, that is not my experience. My experience is that the flight being cancelled might all the passengers competing to get on other flights which left me stranded and I had to drive 23 hrs home in a rental car.

I'm pretty fed up with the erasure, and the ignorance of actions is indefensible in adults--which the "kids" are. It's tiresome to have to point out reality to people who are putting themselves up on pedestal and pissing down on those who have been doing the work since before they were born.

platform is consistent with the D part platform and contains no new ideas but DSA present themselves as the revolutionary new--which is erasure of decades of hard work by all the people who came before them. it's even erasure of the Biden admin landmark legislation

8 hours ago 0 0 1 0

True--but I also think that there's a lot of ignorance about what Dems are and can do and I think there's a lot of substitution of style over content: the pol who SEEMS visibly angry is seen as active while the one with restraint is seen as ineffective. And there's the newby syndrome: the DSA party

Jeffries on Kash Patel: "We have to stop putting all the blame on the people who nominated this incompetent, toxic, malignant individual. What about the people who confirmed him? It's extraordinary to me that Senate Republican confirmed people like Noem, Bondi, Hegseth, RFK Jr, and Patel."

Still worth doing! Think of the legislation we could pass and what we could block!

My flight was cancelled because the crew had worked as many hours as allowed and they didn't have a new crew. Everyone on the flight was scrambling to get on another flight, so the airline said that I probably would be stuck in LV for a couple of days--my idea of hell.

I got stranded in Las Vegas (no, I wasn't there for the foofaraw--I had been backpacking in Utah). Anyway the airline told me to drive to LA and get a flight there. Not helpful. I ended up renting a car to drive home--a 23 hour drive. Yeah, it was a big deal. No I didn't get reimbursed.

Impeachment, not the 25th. He is unfit for office, but his problems now are because he has surrounded himself with enablers and thinks he has no restrictions or consequences.

So the pity party of poor progressives being blocked by the mean old establishment is BS.

9 hours ago 11 1 0 0

The Dem "establishment" if you mean the DNC stayed out of the primary because they stay out of all primaries and backed him when he won. Other Dems from other states were under no obligation to comment on the internal matters of a different state and mostly didn't. Not their business.
