This is legally questionable. A private vehicle either needs consent, a warrant or the invocation of statutory powers for the conduct of a search, so it is, legally, not a public place. It's akin to seeing a patch through the window of a private home. I think this is definitely open to appeal.

They're going to sit around with their thumbs up their butts at level 1 until it's unavoidable and they crash the country into level 4. Whatever that is because they still haven't worked out exactly what it looks like. My guess is they're trying to ride it out until after Easter. Hell of a gamble.
So the government has thought about kinda maybe considering doing something. But until then we've got to be good little consumers and not do anything out of the ordinary.
