Yep remember when it was released :)

I mean I'm almost 55 anyway. I'm only one more tick away from just moving to the villages and making golf, tennis, bocce, billiards, etc my primary hobbies. Hopefully we a long way before AI swoops in to devalue and discredit all that practice.
I'm in a couple retro computing groups and I'm already seeing folks submitting AI coded projects/games. I thought retro was a safe space to learn the lost art of how legacy hardware and CPUs worked and how some of our favorite games were made.
Am I naive for wanting that to stay that way?
To those out there who worked last year coding or even low-coding on a project just to have you clients start their own vibe-coding efforts and kill your contract thinking they can do better.....
I feel you. :)
Let see how long it takes before they realize.
Anyone else got zero page pulled up on twitch and some popcorn? It’s about time. :)

Just putting that out there since "retro" hardware may be all we have left after AI destroys the consumer market :)
Not every retro system needs to be pushed to prove something.
Sometimes the real creativity is in fully exploring what it already is.
A huge IMO disclaimer but I truly believe...
There’s a difference between “pushing the envelope” and “exploring the design space.”
A new fantasy or retro system deserves years of games that embrace its constraints before we try to outsmart them.
The magic is usually in the limits.
Now that's what I'm talking about. VSCode can suck it. NeoVIM is dead to me. This is a TUI text editor for this century.

Been messing around with a Raylib idea for a shooter with a mandatory orbit mechanic. I really want to port this to retro though. I can get the motion with a sine table. Is the only way to get rotation on retro to make a pack of like 16 directions of the sprite pre-turned? Is there a trick?
Been on sort of a development detour this week learning the GameTank C SDK and generally just enjoying how easy and fun it is to work with blitter based rendering. This SDK is a joy. I really, really, really hope the crowd-funding works out.

The daily line of animal that wait at the front door for my daily stand up call to end. Plus one chicken!
Need proof my animals know when my daily stand up call is going to end? BTW the red one thought she was sneaky.
