Finished something quite exciting tonight, so I feel I've earned a sauna.

So, #SunriseOnTheReaping has Joseph Zada *and* Edvin Ryding, yet somehow no queer relationships?

Who is this movie even for??

We know about quite a few cancelled Star Wars projects, but my white whale is the game(s) that Clint Hocking has been working on in 2010-2012.

There's zero information on it. Must've been something big, though.

@lucasartsmemory.bsky.social, have you perhaps heard something?

I call it The Charlie Kaufman ๐Ÿ˜›

(though it probably won't get adopted in the academic circles)

Ever since I became a #SWTOR fan, I keep thinking Commerzbank has a quest for me.

Admittedly, I could've phrased it better ๐Ÿ˜…

What I meant is, Borgli shines a light on the uncomfortable irregularities of our social systems. Things that we are aware of, but prefer not to notice or discuss. So yeah, characters who (intentionally or not) upset these systems can be hard to relate to.

Oh, it's something this serious? Best of luck, then!

Our household has now moved past cooperative games and into domestic violence.

"unlikely scenarios"
"emotionally hollow"

I guess, these folks never saw a Kristoffer Borgli film before, eh?

Also, #TheNanny S2 doubles down on guest stars, inviting The Price Is Right's Bob Barker to cameo in a posh celebrity restaurant.

The Russian version features a middle-grade sushi joint Yakitoria (oh, the luxuries of early 2000s Moscow!) with body doubles for Alla Pugacheva and Philipp Kirkorov.

Some fascinating changes in #TheNanny S2E11, where Maxwell hosts a spoiled child star in hopes of getting him to headline his musical.

โ€ข In the US, the kid got his fame through sitcoms. In Russia, through commercials.

โ€ข Niles is all too eager to take his money. Russian "Niles" proudly rejects him.

And they tried to hide it for as long as they could, instead of warning their clients and neighbours.

It's Chornobyl all over again.

[gestures at The Last Jedi discourse intensely]

The reason is fairly simple. Animated shows take much longer to make, so if they announced it today (and, I imagine, expect to release it in 2027), it was likely in production for about a year now.

They started writing the first season of Shadow Lord way back during COVID!

On this day, thinking about this little bit from a 2002 kids' novel Boba Fett: Crossfire by Terry Bisson.

God, I hope so.

Momoa does seem to be more agreeable behind the scenes.

I think at this point it's safe to say that Jason Momoa has filled the niche of Hollywood's fun rockstar weirdo, vacated by Johnny Depp.

Just wish he found his Burton / Verbinski and tried out more challenging roles, too.

Is this a diary entry of a brutal dictator or LucasArts level designer Reed Knight?

We might never know.

Do you ever think how there's a whole docuseries on the making of #GalacticBattlegrounds, just a couple of mbs in size, but it was neither uploaded on YouTube, nor is available through the Internet Archive?

A not at all frustrating thought.

Distributors don't normally pay media critics for good reviews.

Sure, there are subtle forms of influence, but no amount of junket access or snacks at press screenings is going to sway your opinion in any significant way. It just motivates you to treat people with respect.

(as you should anyway)

GDC Plays Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast with Raven Software
GDC Plays Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast with Raven Software YouTube video by GDC Festival of Gaming

Whenever I listen to interviews / podcasts about #JediOutcast, my mind gets scrambled a bit, because Mike Gummelt, the designer of JKII's spectacular lightsaber combat, sounds exactly like Pedro Pascal.

Will never not be amazed by how the fourth #PiratesOfTheCaribbean movie gathered some of the greatest character actors in Britain, used them in a single scene and NEVER AGAIN.

Okay, a semi-serious question, then ๐Ÿ˜›

What fictional character that gets you going?

I keep thinking if, had it spent just a few years longer in development, Solo would've probably been retooled into a really fun series โ€“ and attracted more eyeballs that way.

Its plot is quite episodic as it is, and I could spend some extra time with teenage Han and Qi'ra.

Or, rather, 22 BBY immediately post-The Clone Wars premiere, where Licensing had to scramble and move all stories where Anakin was not yet a Jedi Knight within a few months after Geonosis ๐Ÿคฃ

Randomly laughed, listening to an interview with a FPS level designer who characterized his approach as "dorky" design.

Took me a few seconds to realize he meant "door-key".
