Juventud? More like groovin-tud if you ask me.
Always happy to nerd out about it with you!
Raven sure does make the heck out of a score!
Great show last night at the Library of Congress with ThingNY performing Raven Chacon and then Raven played a new piece on Morton Subotnick's Buchla 100. Also nice to talk with Raven in person for the first time in 10 years.
great interview with Kristina Warren about the new Gold Bolus album Tusk is up over at @foxydigitalis.bsky.social

Hurray! Wow, really excited to say an IRL masked hello on Saturday.
They would've been doing this album, can give you a campaign button copy at the venue: thingny.bandcamp.com/album/jeff-y...
I think that was pre me joining the band in 2012? Or maybe it was just Jeff and Paul? Anyway if you make it up from VA I’d love to say hi!
Turns out thingNY's Saturday show in DC has some (free!) tickets available now: www.loc.gov/item/event-4...
and our NYC show on Monday has some (not free but only $22!) tix too: new-ear.org/2026/02/06/t...
How do they Cramsci all that Gramsci?
a week from today, thingNY is at the Library of Congress playing music by Raven Chacon, and Raven will do a solo set too, and then two days later we're all in NYC at Fridman Gallery doing the same program
tix still available for the NYC show! (which is masks required) new-ear.org/2026/02/06/t...
A UES street ASPCA hawker just told me “you have immaculate energy”, and while I know it’s just sales tactics, it made me feel nice
So Eric Clapton wrote a song about how after the clock strikes 12am, he’s going to expose himself to everyone?
nice interview w Lily & Chloe Holgate of Sibyl in @thetonearm.com about sibyls past & present, about singing in 2nds, about writing in isolation, etc www.thetonearm.com/sibyl-and-th...

>@gittlitz.bsky.social, the author of a new book, "Metropolitans: New York Baseball, Class Struggle, and the People’s Team," argues that the Mets need to connect with a "political moment" in NYC to succeed.
my most old person yelling at clouds opinion is that it's very rude to not put dashes in when writing out your phone number, like who can parse/read 1112223333? why not write it nicely as 111-222-3333, that's so much better!
There’s a lot more kids named Kobe born after 1996, but you don’t see a bump in Shaquilles after 1992 to the same degree, and that feels backwards to me. Even more so given Shaq as affable pitch dad today.
great read on @thesicktimes.org "While Nichols still had uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms, like bloating, ultimately she said 'pregnancy was a cake walk' compared to the prior four years of Long COVID." thesicktimes.org/2026/03/24/i...
Thread. I'm begging people to realize how much we've already given in just the past 25 years. I'm old enough to remember when surveillance wasn't ubiquitous and before ICE or the TSA existed. There was even a time when the average cop wasn't kitted out for full on urban warfare.
