Yes, I am more excited about this than I need to be. No, I will not apologize.

Halloween miracle! I hit the Mystery Rising Stars list today. 38 out of 50 on the list isn't much, it's still a tangible marker that my story is doing fairly well.
As of this chapter, Divine Necromancer has hit a major milestone: we passed 50,000 words! For those of you who have that as your benchmark for checking out a new story, I'm finally worthy.

I hate to say it about a Jared Leto movie, but Tron: Ares was actually pretty good
The time has come. I'm launching to RoyalRoad tomorrow. I've revised the first five chapters of Divine Necromancer in preparation for that. The first three release this week, then twice a week from there.
If you want to give the revised versions a shot, look here: www.patreon.com/posts/divine...
Okay, long thread over, I'm going to go back to playing Silksong now. I'm going to try to make a post for every new chapter related to this story, but if you're active and following me, let me know if that's too much.
I can't attach the actual collected document of my first five chapters, but if this makes you want to read them without going through Patreon, let me know, I'll find a way to get them to you.
Also, if you happen to have a spare $3 a month and want to stay as up to date as possible, I won't say no.
The total word count on Jay's story right now is an even 36,145 somehow. Here's the cover for it, which I will readily admit is not intended to be the final cover, it's just what I could afford right now.
I guess I could have just used an AI cover. If I'd been willing to compromise. But I wasn't.
The only exception to that schedule will be the first week, where I'm planning on launching all three of the Arc 0 chapters for the sake of a nice round launch, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The Patreon chapters will remain at least a month ahead, which I think isn't bad for $3 a month.
Every chapter so far has been upwards of 2,500 words, with a chapter average of 2,780, so they're not too long.
I'm aiming to launch on RoyalRoad next week once I've finished updating and editing the chapters I've done so far. I'll be uploading twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays normally.
I just put Chapter 13 up on my Patreon (patreon.com/quillwriting) but the first 5 are free to read for anyone. The versions that are currently up there for those chapters are about to receive some changes thanks to some critique feedback from one of the author discords I'm in, but will stay free.
"...at the head of an undead army, blighting the world under his feet?"
Wow, guess it was too long to fit in a single message at all. I really should have seen that coming.
The blurb covers material from the first three chapters, which I'm collectively calling Arc 0, since it's an introduction.
"Jay Carter, newly reincarnated into the world of Halea, is given three things: the Necromancer Class, a curse that afflicts those who have it, and a Divine Command to break that curse. Can Jay undo the Class Curse before it consumes him or will he become nothing more than a mindless tyrant...
The story itself is called Divine Necromancer. It's an isekai/reincarnation litRPG starring a man called Jay Carter. My blurb (as it stands now) will be in the next reply, because it's too large to fit in this one. Thoughts are welcome.
I have been forgetting to talk on here (to anyone who is actually active in my followers, sorry!) but now I think I'm going to make my return by talking about my new story.
So here we go! (It's going to be a lot of Patreon links. Sorry about that.)
It's been six years since the last news I heard. Do we call the ROM movie dead in the water now?
I am so tired of working on these essays. I miss writing my personal projects.
Finally had some spare time to read DCC 7. I should have waited. It was too good and now I have to wait until the next one comes out.
I have learned nothing and will be doing this again very soon.
