I didn’t watch the debate because they aren’t true debates. No one ever answers the question that’s asked. They twist and turn to be about whatever THEY want to talk about. I did see some of the clips but those are shown to align with the news outlet’s agenda.

Our current administration is costing us more every day. I don’t know what’s more oppressive and repressive than shooting peacefully protesting American citizens in the streets.

She had critical elements to her platform and I know people who would’ve been helped by each. My top 4 points were anti-price gouging laws, stricter gun control laws, capping prescription costs, and reforming the immigration system. She had outlined bulleted steps to accomplish each.

It’s important for us all to do our own research on candidates because our votes are so critical.

I never said your comment tells me all I need to know about you. I said, “…it tells me all I need to know about how they evaluate candidates.” She had a well defined platform on her campaign website. It’s clear when people say she didn’t, they didn’t look at her website. That’s it. Plain & simple.

Elise, you’re the one who’s changing his words. He in no way referenced the Iranian leadership as the focus of his genocide comment. He said, “A whole civilization will die tonight…” (He actually described the new regime as, “smarter and less radicalized.”)

Have been wondering when candidates would start talking about this. One of the biggest corruption scandals is U.S. history playing out in real time.

That is exactly the problem. So many people today don’t seek to learn about candidates. They use ads, social media, and word of mouth to make critical decisions. Not a good strategy.

Insulting people engaging in civil interactions is an interesting choice. If you have to ask about Trump, you didn’t understand my comments. Based on your profile it seems we may have similar political views but attacking people isn’t my thing so we do differ. This isn’t helpful or productive. 👋🏼☮️

Many are bots, but sadly I personally know people who have said she didn’t have a plan. 🙄😂

And if you’re not paying attention to MAGA and this administration you should. Ignoring their words and actions is dangerous. BTW, they’re actually hoping people will do that. They’re counting on people not paying attention or becoming so hopeless that they give up so they can achieve their goals.

Nope. Just aware of what’s happening in our country and cognizant of how this methodology has been used across history in the same manner to try and destroy democracy.

In my hyper conservative churches growing up, I was always warned about liberalism but never far right authoritarianism. I was always warned about socialism but never predatory capitalism. I was always warned about feminism but never misogyny. I was always warned about homosexuality but never about abuse in the church. I was always warned about Islamic extremists, but never Christian nationalism. Imagine what American Christianity would look like today if it had focused on its own sins.

If you think the opposite is true, you’re not paying attention.

Win or lose, there remains a real measure of promise and decency in America that is worth the fight. And win or lose, there is no dignity for any of us unwilling to have that fight.
