Vermutlich eher Helvetica :)
Personally I draw the line at quakers not involved in making oatmeal
It gives fjords <3
Auch? Die UniCredit ja offenbar schon, sogar definitiver als vorher geplant
Love calendar views though <3
Table 3. Total annual bike trips, cyclist fatalities, cyclist serious injuries, fatality and injury rates in NYC, London, Paris, and Berlin, 2005–2023
With these massive gains in ridership, all four cities saw decreases in the rate of cyclist fatalities.
Incredibly, London and Paris, with a 189% and 751%(!!) increase in cycling respectively, both saw decreases in the number of cyclist fatalities in 2005-2023.
In real numbers, not just rates!

Sign that says Sacks Field, photo taken a few minutes earlier
(No Google maps link because the photo isn't geocoded and there are somehow no results for sacks field chicago)
Bridge over pedestrian paths, Chicago, February 2018
Reminds me a lot of a place in Chicago, if I can find it
That's a bridge!
Auch in Wien und anderswo hierzulande weit verbreitet
To get good sight lines in an underpass the underpass basically needs to be under an elevated line in which case it's not typically referred to as an underpass :D
Another benefit when you're the last to board, you almost always have the aisle to yourself to just find any other overhead bin with available space maybe a little further away
Unlikely to be the case often and depending on your exact time of arrival at the platform (ie if you miss a long-distance train) local trains will get you to the city and most likely even the Hauptbahnhof faster than waiting for the next long-distance one :) (+ the line from Bp is very delay-prone)
Well they do somewhat liberally apply that warning to connections :)
My experience with (assigned) seat reservations is they by chance usually end up in the fullest cars, next to the loudest passengers on the train or in otherwise inconvenient spots, so I typically never reserve a seat unless travelling in larger groups
DB usually doesn't check in all their passengers, depending on how motivated staff feels about checkins, but Westbahn typically does, and incentivizes self-checkins by offering reward points redeemable for onboarding food/drink purchases
You're still bound to a seat in the sense that if you check in to a seat and then move seats without modifying the checkin, staff is supposed to check your ticket again (and then modify the check in for you.
Seats can be modified post-checkin
Works with optional ('assigned') seat reservations, ie great for pax flexibility and operator revenue (fewer chosen assigned seats means fewer short rides blocking seat sales for longer rides etc)
Most efficient and 'safe' (from a revenue protection pov) way to get rid of paper indicators would be seat checkins like on DB/Westbahn – pax can chose any empty seat once onboard, but then get 'bound' to that seat by either checking in to it themselves or getting checked in during ticket inspection
Ugh more bikeshare that's uneconomical for absolutely no reason
All-electric? :(
Trend in average number of cars per household. City of Paris shown in light blue; Paris metropolis overall in middle blue; Paris metropolis outside of Paris in dark blue.
Trend in gas sales in Paris and the near suburbs, in thousands of tons.
Gas stations in Paris metropolis. Light blue dots show stations that were open in 2024. Dark blue dots show stations that closed between 2019 and 2024.
Paris metropolis: Striking reductions in car use due to proactive efforts to encourage bike, walking, transit:
—Less car ownership: From 0.5 cars/HH in Paris to 0.36, 1999–2022. Outside of Paris: 0.88➡️0.8
—35% less gas sold 2005–24
—15% fewer gas stations between 2019–24

Oh and the decent bus connections!
Merklingen station platforms on a sunny day
Also ha just remembered I once actually used that station! Look at the ridership!
