Really proud to say that the Estonian translation of A Kind of Spark has been nominated for the annual Tower of Babel Honour Diploma. It's the most significant translation prize for children's fiction in Estonia and it also awards (quite rightly) the publisher and translator. Very proud of all of us

We had a laburnum tree in the garden of one of the many houses my family lived in when I was a child. I'd worry constantly about eating a pod. That and foxgloves... Didn't occur to me I didn't need to worry, as, being so worried about poisoning myself, I wouldn't have dreamed of ingesting either 😄
