honestly it's been a good week for very clearly demonstrating that successful projects have skilled human narrative designers and human editors

so glad that this got written up and highly recommend everyone watch it when (if?) it goes to Youtube. @mesaanasedai.bsky.social and @criticalkitten.bsky.social gave excellent talks showing how editing can improve not only the writing in a game but the production flow & design of the entire project.
Lol, I had the wrong link! Lets try this again! As a (human) editor, I was snapping along with this one. www.gamedeveloper.com/design/makin...

Thanks, Daniel! :)
Thrilled to share that @dustinfreeman.bsky.social's PUCKISH - my first official narrative design credit (alongside the inimitable @geoffreygolden.bsky.social) - was nominated for this year's @indiecade.bsky.social, and will be playable at Night Games! If you're in LA, come by and say hello!
I choose to believe that the exclusion of Provision 5 from Irish law is because the Irish know that you don't mess with Fey bargains.
Not sure how I feel about contractually obligating myself not to enter into a pact with a Fey creature, but I've written enough contracts to appreciate some creativity in a T&C.

What am I doing this weekend? So glad you asked.
Thrilled to announce that I'll be continuing on the book beat as a Literary Agent at The Curious Minds Agency (curiousmindsagency.com). Scholars and journalists, send me your stylish, argument-driven nonfiction. Editors, let's talk! π Can't wait to spark debate and start some conversations together.
