Very excited to share that my story "Wish, Wish" will be a part of the COMMON BONDS 2 anthology! 🎉

It's the last story I wrote as part of this summer's @clarionwest.bsky.social flash fiction groups, and somehow the most uplifting 🥹

Yesss let me know what you think! I was pretty blown away by the style--it took me back to writers of my childhood.

#BookFilmPairing rec of the day: The Bear and the Nightingale by #KatherineArden, The Bird King by @gwillow.me, and Conclave (dir. Edward Berger)

Both novels feature extremely frightening villains that, like Cardinal Lawrence, invite you to examine the relationship between faith and doubt.

I know some writers hate revising. But let me make a case for the feeling of polishing your prose like a diamond until 3am. Monastic or ecstatic? I have never found it easier to enter a flow state. It always starts with, “I’ll just give this another 15 minutes…” 💎

Thank you, I am quite confident I will! Sometimes you just know from the opening 💜 Looking forward to your other recommendations 😊

I miss her so much, but the work is on the rest of us now.
