With the dry conditions, and strong winds the last couple of days, it's distressing to see the amount of soil blowing. I remember my grandpa saying you never want to see that. As much as I miss the old guys from the community, in glad they don't have to see what has become of their old farms.

@rickphelan.bsky.social welcome to bluesy buddy. It's not completely free of stupidity, but by comparison to the other sites, you can have civil conversation or disagreement and not be bombarded by morons

Is that limited to just Americans? As a Canadian it would be handy to get advanced notice of any future military action in my area. I'm sure Greenland and Denmark wouldn't mind being added to that chat also

Unfortunately some people were put here not to evolve. They are here to remind you what it looks like if you don't.
I can't claim credit for this and there was no author given for it, but its seems fitting for whats going on in the world today

I'm not leaving twitter. Hear me out, I'm going to post memes and things that elon would find annoying and embarrassing, in an effort to see how long it will take to get kickoff. I suspect it might take some time as I never really put much effort into social media. This could be interesting

It was cold and frost here in Central Alberta this morning. There is just something refreshing to me about the fog cold and frost.

That first 164 pages and the forwards, and appendix saved my life, the stories helped me know regardless, the situations there is a sober way through. On of the stories talks about acceptance, when you find it I hope it hits you like it did me. All the best in your sober journey, I'm pulling for you

As a Canadian, Looking at the situation in the states, I can't see how any of Trumps plans are going to make things better for anyone other than the rich.

Not a bad idea.

While we’re banning books…

Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar.

Be. Like. Finland.

I quit coffee 4 years ago. It wasn't a fun experience. Took the best part of 3 months to my system back to a 'normal' state. Now, if I order a Decaf, which is horrid, I make sure to watch and be sure they do serve me Decaf, because normal coffee, that will cause some issues.

Watching the political situation in the states, as a Canadian, is alarming. We have our problems here for sure, but I'd like to believe that a leader of any of the parties had a history like Trump, they would get rid of them, very fast.

Which facility is that, and what do they make there?

Today marks 19 years of sobriety. If you are struggling with addiction, don't be afraid to reach out for help. Life can get and does get better. I don't normally post this online, but if it helps one person reach out and get help, then its worth it
