This weekends movie treat was Spinal Tap II, which I thoroughly enjoyed. While not anywhere near the original, it felt great to be in the company of those characters again for 90 minutes, and I did laugh A LOT!

Been on a Nicolas Cage tip recently. Watched Mandy and Longlegs, and tonight is a classic double bill at Vue Cinemas, for their Action Season. First Con Air, followed by The Rock. Two I’ve never seen on the big screen.
I don’t believe in guilty pleasures. I unapologetically love Diamonds Are Forever. Old Vegas, Mr Wint and Mr Kidd, Plenty O’Toole, Charles Gray, crazy diamond smuggling into space-laser-domination plot…. What’s not to love?

Today has been a triple-bill of Gene Hackman movies. Enemy Of The State, the great Crimson Tide, and we’re finishing off with the less tense but no less classic, The Birdcage. I wanted The French Connection but we needed something fun, and not as gritty.

If the Richie comes on for Radi at 2-0 (which was when I called it), that game goes differently. You have to see when the formation or tactics aren’t working. Have to! Board need to act after this, whether that’s a manager change or new players. They’ve done nothing for too long.

Against all my best intentions I watched the game yesterday. Underlines everything I feel about my team. I can take the result if the effort and determination is there. Very proud. Can’t fault the players yesterday. Ref was rubbish though. 🤣

I’m starting to think that Davies is a solid centre back, put him there with any of the other three. If Romero gets tempted away, then I think we’ll be fine. Ashley Philips can come back. Davies can shepherd these kids.
