My darkest wish is that all these fuckin’ grifters feel as bad on the inside as Marco Rubio looks on the outside in this picture…

It is possible for us to have this, too, if we throw our weight in sufficient numbers behind people with the will to see it through

Orban achieved a level of authoritarian consolidation unthinkable here and they still successfully got rid of him. Never let the doomers have the final say.

I think it's really an underrated moral issue (let along a political economy one) that we've sort of let scams and scam adjacent activities (sports betting, car dealerships, most retail interactions with skilled trades, crypto, etc) pervade the economy from top to bottom.

He only has one move (escalation) and that shit won’t work here. John Roberts can’t bail him out either.

An armistice can take weeks to negotiate. A comprehensive peace treaty can take months. No one on Earth who knows a thing about history or diplomacy thought anything could be resolved in six hours. This will confirm for everyone the extreme incompetence and bad faith of the American regime.

I’m very proud of my wife for sharing the details she did. I’m disgusted by all of it. She found herself in one of those moments where she didn’t care what she lost if it helped one other person. The reality is the truth don’t care who tells it, but she told it. Love you @allysammarco.bsky.social

Pushing 4 Trump’s impeachment is not abt impeaching & convicting him w this Cong. It’s about staying on offense with a visceral narrative that spotlights the reported crimes and corruption of this regime in the context of affordability hell.

Dem leaders lack the strategic acumen to stay on offense.

Schumer is pro the war on Iran and I think that in and of itself is disqualifying. It seems imperative that Democrats demand that he resign or be replaced as Senate minority leader because he is actually working to support the fascist in chief. It's untenable.

These chunderheads think impeaching a corrupt president who has intentionally jacked up prices on EVERYTHING "will distract from their midterm focus on costs and corruption"?????

Sweet Christmas, these people are so dumb they must have reminders set on their phones to keep breathing.

After this article was published, many readers noted that Medvi was facing legal and regulatory actions for its business practices. Our piece should have included that information to give readers a fuller picture of the scrutiny that the company was facing. We have updated the article to note a warning letter from the F.D.A. and a pending class action lawsuit accusing Medvi of violating California’s anti-spam law.

I don't think I've ever seen an editor's note like this. Would be interested to know how the NYT decides this story, and not say any of the anti-trans stories for example, gets this kind of "we goofed and missed a lot of info" editor's note.

Ok, I’ve tried doing your setup with my own hands (ambi-snapper here, not to brag…). I think it might help reinforce my right hand snap, but I can’t even get the left hand to form that way.

Obviously, I’m now way off-topic with regards to your original question, for which I have no explanation…

Today, House Democrats tried to bring another War Powers Resolution to the floor.

Republicans blocked us.

As gas prices soar and troops are put in harm’s way, the GOP continues to be complicit in this reckless war.

“Why aren’t college students protesting” stories are almost always wrong (they are protesting), omit crucial context (they were brutally punished for protesting before), and somehow suggest that 19 yr olds have more moral responsibility than elected officials three times their age

They even named the damn thing “Mythos” 🙄

Damnit, man! Of course this is the college student’s fault! Glad we finally got to the root cause here. If only they were out protesting NONE of this woulda happened!!!

Also, invest in shoes! Good, sturdy ones. Ideally running/walking shoes, but they make plenty of good shoes that look more professional if you need them for work/dress requirements. Starting too fast in bad shoes is a recipe for disaster!

Sorry, that’s how that works.
