I have been slowly getting back into painting with some birdy value studies.

An anthropomorphized Bird crouches, with his left talons forward. A large wooden shield hangs on his left forearm and his right hand clutches a trident. He wears plated armor and a kilt, and a helmet that loosely resembles a Roman centurian helmet in style.
Yaffle! My DND character. He's an aarakocra Paladin and also a bit of a himbo. He used to be a prince but has since been excommunicated and had his wings clipped.
A heavily armored humanoid with the head of a bat. Two bat wings protrude from the rear upper back of the figure.
Meet Vlad, the vampire bat!
A black and red image of a man with curly hair and sunglasses singing into a microphone
A large array of images organized loosely into three rows. Each image depicts a new piece of artwork that the artist created throughout the year. From top left to bottom right: - a scene from a film noir - a set of armor - a sketch of a man with arms outstretched - a value study of a boy and of a woman - various sketches of the human figure in pen and pencil - Killmonger from the Black Panther movie - two armored figures, one is kneeling - two paintings of one Asian man from different angles - various pen sketches of statues - a monochromatic painting of a harpy eagle in armor - a pterodactyl in goggles with a scarf - Carmen Berzatto from The Bear - a girl with a parasol - a bird sticking its head out of a tree - a gated building from France - a tall bird in armor with a Trident - a tomato - a cat - various pen sketches of my dog, Miles - a strange blue figure with hands for wings - various sketches of squirrels with swords - a singer hitting a strenuous note - another squirrel standing on a branch and pointing to the right - a bat flying beneath the moon - a final fantasy character gliding beside a boat
I made a collage of all of my 2025 Art! The top left was from the beginning of the year and the bottom right is more recent.
A greyscale landscape illustration depicting the sun setting behind a cove. Nine birds fly in the same direction and their reflections are shown in the water beneath them.
Six birds sit perched upon a long branch, surrounded by copper fall leaves.
A large bat flies under the moon and above some dying trees and a rooftop. In its hand is a large silver sword.
More Shape Carving today
four separate sketches of squirrels holding a sword in various action poses. The final pose is just standing ominously but includes a helmet shape.

A greenish squirrel wearing baggy brown pants standing on a tree branch and pointing with his right hand into the distance. On his hip sits a sword in its hilt, and on the his right wrist sits a buckler.

A tall brown bear standing upright wearing a dark green wool cloak over his shoulders
A tall white woman who is encased in ice from the hips down. On her head is a giant severed finger. In her right hand she wields a crystalline staff, and in the other hand hovers an icicle.
A turquoise/blue woman wearing a regal crimson and beige cloak. In one hand an icicle flows downwards from her palm, and in the other is a strange icicle lamp. On her back sprouts Rime frost.
A sinewy being hovering in the air. On it's back are two purple hands positioned like wings would be. It wears a mask with a hand print in the same color as the hand wings. It grasps a book tightly at it's chest.
Some DND References I painted for my most recent DND session :)
A while ago I wrote out some notes for a friend about the mindset that really helped me to learn art! Today I turned it into a zine (and also drew a gorgeous bell pepper?) and I'm excited to share it on here!
A drawing of an anthropomorphic bird man wearing armor and holding a trident. His bird legs stand atop two rocks of varying heights.
A drawing of an anthropomorphic bird man wearing elegantly detailed bird themed armor and a helmet with a visor. He holds a shield with a large bird emblem in his right hand and in his left he wields a trident.
Just finished redrawing my DnD character, Yaffle. The last time I did a sketch for him was in Sept 2024, and it's neat to see the progress I've made!
