I remember randomly finding a bookshop once that had a room dedicated to volumes published in the 1800s. I was over the moon, could only afford 3 at the time and have never managed to find it again

I feel like I have found so many more but I couldn't think of any... Do you take worldbuilding games?
I mean, this tax would apply to him, wouldn't it? He doesn't live in New York but would own real estate there. Mamdani is taxing him personally, that's why it's such a bad idea
I have been struggling lately with doing art because I need to do a particular art and I don't want to do that art, I want to try and get better at art first but then whenever I try and work on art I remember that I have an art that I need to do...

I love finding books that contain systems for developing quests in interesting or unique ways, if that's something like what you're looking for. Here's some of my faves!
Oh, I am following, and wishlisted, and my heart soars with every gif you post. I can't wait for this game, I'm so excited
@dinosire.com I showed Dino Cleanup to my gf, and now she's angry at me that it isn't out yet...
Just saying, if you have any news I know of two people who are eagerly awaiting hearing it
I've currently put ttrpg design on hold to brush up on my video game skills. Been working on pixel art, too, but turns out art is hard, and animation is harder 😅
Donald Trump is unfit to serve as the leader of the free world. That's why I have cosponsored H. Res. 939 Articles of Impeachment to remove him from office.
If you can’t sack your demented, insane president are you even a democracy?
I will never write anything better than this and I am at peace with that
I wrk in mental health and my hottake is that the vast majority of people need to learn the difference between behavior that makes them uncomfortable and behavior that is potentially unsafe.
People literally get people institutionalized, abused, or killed over not understanding the difference.
Hey podcasters, I put "guest on a podcast" on my bingo goal board, so now I'm manifesting. I'd love to talk about:
1) the cat jam and bundle,
2) Spell: The RPG youtu.be/kROVWzQgRtQ
3) weird and whimsical game design,
4) pretty much whatever you want to talk about.

I mean, maybe you don't want to draw them more because they were perfect the first time?
@brad-talesuntold.bsky.social aha! I found you!
Found the announcement on Rascal and I knew I had to learn more!
Currently downloading the Quickstart that came by following the backerkit, now I need to start yelling at my group that we have to change games...
I have begun purging my downloads folder regularly, just so that I remember to put things in the places that I have set up for them
Kinda not really but I think an overlooked mechanic, Scale from Hearts of Wulin. You are higher or lower scale than another. This is never given numerical form, and your scale vs one character has no bearing on your scale vs another. One of the moves is to study an opponent, learning their scale
This is something they did in Path of Exile, they took broken ass player builds and made bosses that would show up randomly to wreck you
The problem I have with vibe coding and AI in general is that I can program more efficiently than I can speak plain english. I'm autistic, JS or C or Python makes WAY more sense to me than Conversation does
I’m really proud of this little game. A tabletop game about building a map, but with plenty of opportunities for roleplaying, where the two blend seamlessly.
Hasbro's CEO seems allergic to mentioning Dungeons & Dragons in public unless it helps his brand or attracts outside studios. Forgotten or ignored, it leaves the venerable RPG difficult to discuss.
This is something I could do, but am just now realising I haven't really stretched myself into. Anyone have any advice for a game designer that has only ever worked on their own for breaking out as a freelancer?

Check out Abyssus, it's a rogue-like FPS with the vibe of old timey explorers at the edge of the world discovering unknowable ruins. Great fun!
people will be like "indies will save the games industry" and then refuse to buy an indie game until it's in a steam sale for 99 cents
A great place to start is @partyofonepodcast.bsky.social where you can listen to duet games being played to see if you like the sound of them!
