Those old shuttle engines kick ass.
I just played it for the first time a couple of nights ago, here in Chicago. Perhaps it will grow on me.
Always putting his thumb down on the wrong side of the scale, making everything that he touches worse, and all at our expense.
OMG, I saw it (probably there) in the 90s! I hope you can get tix.
Flyer for steaming radio show Kilovolt & Jam.

I saw it at the Americana theater in Southfield, MI, with my friend, Scott. We were 9.
Argh!
They make you pay for parking? Cook County, IL has free parking for jurors.
I’ve been saying this for years, as Detroit doubled down on gas guzzling trucks because of the high profit margins and missed the target with their initial electric offerings. The Chinese are going to eat their lunch.

God help me, I really like Chex mix. Not the premade crap in the bag. I’m talking about the fresh homemade stuff. Yum.
Thankfully, the crop appears to have survived, despite the record cold that they had down there a few weeks ago.
I wish you could smell these – yum! The season only lasts a couple of weeks, so if you see Florida strawberries in the next few days, consider buying them! 2/2
A carton of strawberries
You guys, after a winter of uninspiring California strawberries, we are have started seeing the ones from Plant City, FL in our supermarkets in Chicago. This is one of my favorite harbingers of Spring! 1/2

I made this point in class the other day. Until Congress changes the name, it's the Department of Defense. It's not hard.
Pete Hegseth can call it whatever he wants. Uncle Drunky's Funtown or the He-Man Warfighters Secret Clubhouse or whatever. No one else should feel the need to follow him.
Wow, Yahoo mail third party app login procedures are a load of crap! #shoutingintothevoid
Why on Earth would #Chicago DOT perform roadwork constricting the western approach to the Grand Ave bridge over the river, when it is serving as the detour for the Chicago Ave bridge replacement? Total traffic chaos there this morning. At least six 65 and 66 buses clustered up, unable to move.
This was due to pressure from the FCC. Remember Trump’s war on cancel culture? Every accusation is a confession with him.
CBS did not allow Stephen Colbert to air this interview with Senate Candidate James Talerico of TX. If you are like me, that made me want to watch it all that much more.
Flier for Kilovolt & Jam streaming radio broadcast on shoutingfire.com, Thursday evening, 1/29, 8pm central.
This Thursday night, join us for music and talk about our recent travels in the great state of Arizona.

A few from 1/25 protest for Alex Pretti in Chicago.
Probably close to 4:10am and 2:00am in reality, but still.
You guys, Arby’s brought back potato cakes!
OMG, one in the late 1990s I didn’t realize Orange wasn’t 24 hrs, and I waited at Clark and Lake early on I think a weekend morning before realizing that one wasn’t going to come, and had to scramble for a taxi to not miss my flight.
I haven’t seen the second one yet. It’s good? I mean the first one was, despite being Pocahontas in space.
FWIW, I am in a jury room right now in Cook County, IL, serving on a jury. In some judges’ courtrooms here, counsel never receive our names at all. We were referred to by numbers during voir dire.
Argh! Did they get you in for stitches yet?
Metra UPNW Train 628 zips inbound past Irving Park on the center track on 12/30/25. #Chicago
Happy Solstice! 9:03am Central Time
Every couple of years or so, I craft a new outdoor display menorah to put in front of the house. I finished this one just in the nick of time, Sunday evening.
