Big fan of Framework, I have a second gen 13 and the Desktop. Really enjoy playing with open-weight LLMs on the desktop. Great to see them continue to grow and innovate.

health integration by michaelthatsit ยท Pull Request #54 ยท coredevices/mobileapp this is pretty early. all it does is pull the health data from the watch, and push the averages to it. I'm thinking it's probably best to add this and do any UI changes in a separate PR: In...

Linked from the blog is this PR on GitHub which has screenshots of what I presume are the new health related app screens. Scroll through the discussion: github.com/coredevices/...

Techniques like this will certainly help you run a sustainable business. How will you look to improve performance?

Amazing. So it's loading up the browser, testing its own work and iterating?

This is so nostalgic, I'm certain I had this magazine and the demo would have been the first time playing the game. Brilliant.

Todo.txt: Future-proof task tracking in a file you control Track your tasks and projects in a plain text file, todo.txt. A todo.txt is software and operating system agnostic; it's searchable, portable, lightweight and easily manipulated.

After trying many todo apps and services I settled on a local todo.txt file years ago and haven't looked back. Support for updating it via Index 01 would be amazing: todotxt.org

Thanks Eric, plenty of useful information on the FAQ. ๐Ÿ‘ I'm very tempted by this product, I have the same challenge with short lived, transient ideas/thoughts. RE recycling: I was hoping that you'd be able to reuse the electrical elements and casing, replace the battery and resell as refurbished.

Hi Eric. Thinking about single use, a couple of questions: you say years of life, at a really rough guess, how many years? I realise that depends on many factors and would vary but a range would be good. And recycling: how will that work? How much of the device could be recycled? Thanks!

That display is great! Some nostalgia captured there.

It would be a real shame to lose that history, even more so considering how grounded the new models are in the old technology and OS and the backwards compatibility of the app. I'm certain a resolution can be found. Good luck!

Thanks for another detailed blog post. Let's hope you can resolve this soon! ๐Ÿคž

I wrote some logic for a Playdate game to handle the behaviour of a user controlled crosshair, bouncing off the edges of the screen, acceleration/deceleration etc. Playing Jurl has inspired me to extract that code and see if I can repurpose it to control a spaceship in a new game. Thanks!

Great to chat about the Amiga with @gouldfishongames.com yesterday at @computinghistory.org.uk, and to see some of his cover disk, original boxed games and magazine collection. I'll be checking out some of his cover disk reviews on YouTube!

Great chatting to @onlyretrofans.com at the Retro Computer Festival yesterday about cross-platform game development. Had fun trying Jurl on the various devices! Thanks for the complimentary copy for the Game Boy Advance, maybe with some practice I'll get past level 2!

Interesting to see Densha de Go! games and controllers on display at @computinghistory.org.uk's Retro Computer Festival yesterday. I guess these games inspired Zero Zero Perfect Stop for the Playdate? Curious to give that a try after playing Densha de Go! play.date/games/zero-z...

How do you see those guardrails being implemented across the industry? Who do you think is aligned with your views? It's a monumental challenge but I'm glad to see statements like this being made from important figures in AI.

Great post Eric. What's the future hold for manufacturing? Will you guys build more PT2s following the initial batches? Plans for new models? You mention in the post that the phone apps will support other devices, any hints on what those devices may be? Thanks for publishing these detailed blogs!
