Brentford are the highest goal scorers in home games in the PL this season. We went there without our two best goalscorers, Rice not fit enough to start and went 1-0 down and won the game easily in the end. We definitely take how good Arsenal are for granted.

Watching the news at 6 or 10 is more than enough. Don't need it every time you open your phone.

Yeah, but also even if you aren’t being sent it directly, you’re exposed to it. I end up reading opinions I don’t like about things I don’t like from people I don’t like, involuntarily.

And I don’t think this clarity can be achieved just by unfollowing loads of people. Twitter has just grown into something that’s too big and too connected. And you can’t stop the ‘for you’ nonsense being forced on you.

There’s an element of ‘ignorance is bliss’, sure, but it’s made me realise that there’s a choice over how much chaos you pump into your eyes on a daily basis. It’s ok to just use social media to follow things you enjoy.

This place has made me realise how much unpleasant noise there is on Twitter. There are accounts I follow because they’re interesting, but also… it’s just a lot. Like global politics is interesting but also Twitter makes you think the world is ending every day. This is simpler. I like it.
