Photo collage of a Spectrum 16k computer
A nice little Facebook Marketplace purchase: an 'as new' boxed 16k Issue 3 Spectrum. Looks untouched, even the edge connector is untarnished. Was hoping to keep it original but alas, work needs to be done.
Walking the dog through the graveyard once again. Not so spooky now the evening light has changed.
A warning label on a GX4000 console advising you not to remove the power cable whilst it's switched on.
Printed on the box and in the manual. If you joined the Amstrad User Group as a GX4000 owner you would also receive a daily phone call reminding you how to switch off your machine.

All of your favourite 8-bit games only blockier and/or slower!
Have spent the day with the Amstrad GX4000 and the lovely PicoGX flash cart thingy. Thank goodness people have converted CPC games to run on this thing as the GX catalog is, to be fair, awful.
My dog, asleep, on my bed
It was a busy morning chasing all the children at the park run. Rest easy dog!

Wouldn't be without her!

It's alive!
A Pico GX flash cart thingy that works in an Amstrad GX4000 games console.
Was delivered just as I was leaving to go to work. Will have to play with this later tonight!
Build complete! Finally. Build thread titled 'A Comedy of (R: Tape loading) Errors' coming soon...

It is officially not winter
Sod it! Ordered!
My finger is hovering over the 'Add to cart' button now as I need a solution to load software on my GX4000. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.
Happy Saint April Fool's Day everyone! The internet today is going to be a f***ing headache.
The inside of a ZX Spectrum computer adorned with LED lighting
One of the most useful changes Amstrad made to the ZX Spectrum was to add a power LED. So, having refurbished my Spectrum+ I thought I'd add one (or two) LEDs myself!
(Should've gone orange to simulate the PS2 HDD access LED).
Remember, Max Verstappen is used to rule-breaking going in his favour.

I am in the village of Down Ampney, a stone's throw away from RAF Fairford. The whole area stinks of aviation fuel.

Gonna nick the idea of putting a LED through the old heatsink/voltage regulator hole for my Speccy build...

My rendition of 'I Know Him so Well' from Chess brought people to tears.
A photo of my son dressed in blue shorts and a red vest. And also wearing my straw hat..
Yes, it's World Book Day and my boy has decided to dress-up as 'Monkey D. Luffy' from the manga series 'One Peice' and he doesn't give a shit that no-one else will get the reference.
Good lad!

When it's complete I'll write-up a thread about the build and why I hate this particular Spectrum PCB....
Once I've salvaged everything that is salvageable on that hateful PCB it is going straight into the bin (we have history, hence the new-build).
A red Sinclair Spectrum PCB
So, myself and YouTube's Retro Marky are going to build a couple of Spectrums. Wish us luck! #ZXSpectrum
#rad-o-hint saved £30 by transferring the old grilles onto the new radiator! A bit of touch-up paint and it'll be a grand job.
