I want to be very clear that my Greek tutor kicks ass

I’m studying for b1 level btw. My comfort level is like “I was going to buy peaches yesterday but pears were on special.” Over here cramming vocab like ‘pathologisation’ and ‘heteronormativity’

And every time I managed to string a sentence together in my terrible Greek during the discussion she would be like “well yes obviously”. I felt like I was in a dykes to watch out for strip

Recently my greek tutor sent me an article for reading practise and to discuss in class, except it was a Judith butler interview and included 170 vocab cards

it bothers me when ppl talk about anime characters ‘looking white’ too. Like the characters these ppl are talking about only resemble real human beings at the most schematic level, they don’t ’look like’ anyone lol

100%, there’s a set of symbols that designate ‘Asian’ in majority white societies which are distinct from the symbols that neutrally designate ‘person’. which is obviously not true in Asian cultures
