I only kept playing CoD campaigns out of morbid cusiosity to see how insane they kept getting and the last couple have been hot garbage anyway. Multiplayer has sucked since CoD 4. I'll take a price cut for having to wait a year to play something I was likely going to ignore anyway.

So many frustrated, yet good memories. 🤣

Seriously @huntshowdown.com, you guys have got to do something about cheating. It went from something I barely ran into to something that's happening every couple of matches now. People with pages of CHEATER on their Steam profiles not getting banned. EAC isn't up to it any more.

Shrinking should really have ended with season 3 like Bill Lawrence wanted. It basically did anyway. Whatever Apple forces them to make after this is not going to be good.

Customer service shout out to Whisker, makers of the Litter Robot. Mine's out of warranty but the pinch sensor keeps tripping in error and interruping cycles. Known design issue with the part.

Asked on Reddit for a workaround and they DM'd and offered to send the $35 kit to fix it for free! Cheers!

One of the most pivotal strategy games ever. Found a big box in mind condition recently and so happy to have it again. ❤️

He literally argues at one point that all the scummy practices we see in many games now like gacha, microtransactions and engagement lock-in are because of platform fees and wouldn't exist if they didn't.

That's one of the most naive takes I've ever heard on the subject.

I don't think it's true but it was rumoured at the time that Stellar Stone used developers who were like indebted to the Russian mob and that's why the game sucked so much.

I'm sure it was just a troll but I was like "I dunno, maybe?"

Watching Threat Interactive go from an insightful technical voice on the issue of game optimization to crashing out into abusing the DMCA to silence critics and picking stupid fights with some of the most respected tech YouTubers is a Hell of a thing.

Still need to replay that one of these days. It's been a minute.

You can see from other tabs that I'm well behind the pace for game completions for this far into the year. Had a ton of work stuff and a death in the family that's sadly eaten away a lot of time.

But there's still more in my backlog than I can ever get to and I'm happy to have such choice.

Back to playing @huntshowdown.com with two of my best friends at the end of most evenings again. It's beating our asses worse than normal, but we still love the pain.

Playing Donkey Kong: Bananza on my lunch breaks and love it to death. Such talent behind it.

I've got to evaluate what they're doing a bit more first, but yeah. Once I dumped Xwitter, I said I was only going to use this service in a narrow way and only until it became user hostile, like all the other platforms have. This may end up being the exit ramp for me.

Have to say, I'm feeling similar. This was basically the only social media I still used and I always said that I'd only stay here until it inevitably became user hostile like all the others. Feels like we're getting there.
