ShotSpotter is unreliable garbage. We shouldn't be using it, let alone paying for the "privilege".
Someone compiled all of the Calvin and Hobbes strips about Calvin’s polls of his Dad, which is proof that good people do exist on the internet

Is that like bracket drag racing where everyone races to get the closest to their best time down the strip?
That's something I thought only happened in Mormon Sunday schools...

The real reason is that there are multiple grades of helium. We fill balloons with the dirty kind that can't be used in medical and high end cooling systems.

I'm glad I did it. But I am also fine with not doing it again. Hokkaido is a totally different story. I will go back to Japan at any opportunity.
A snow covered wall in the mountains outside Haines, Alaska. Spines and cliffs fill the wall. Zooming in on the images reveals ski tracks from professional skiers filming footage.
Client skiing in Haines, Alaska. A small yellow helicopter is on top of a smooth mountain top. A group of skiers can be seen at the precipice of a steep powder filled pitch. A few lines from skiers can be seen going down the face.
It is difficult to explain just how much larger and steeper those Alaskan faces are when you are standing in front of them.
Also...client lines in Alaska are far tamer than competition and ski movie lines. But, still steep and difficult by normal skiing standards.
You'd have thought the Mountain Meadows Massacre would have ended that family's dynasty.

And King's Overlook Hotel was inspired by The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park Colorado.

Bill Clinton shown shrugging. “It took America 20 years to replace the Taliban with the Taliban. Donald Trump replaced the Ayatollah with the Ayatollah in just 9 days! He really is a genius!”
Real Men of Genius. 🧠🤡
The McD.L.T. aka the McDeluxe?
They Might Be Giants included a bunch of tiny song segments on their Apollo 18 album. CDs were the latest tech. It was intended to sprinkle them around randomly as you listened to the album on shuffle. Something not possible with records or tape.

A carousel horse hangs from a ski lift cable. Arrows point to various features. Grip and Hanger Arm by Skytrac. Through Bolts (Secures Hanger Arm to Support Pole). Carousel Horse Support Pole (slides into Hanger Arm). Carousel Horse Fiberglass w/steel reinforcement. "NO RIDING" Signage on both sides. Physical Barrier.
I've seen lot of different art at ski areas. But, nothing quite like this.
