Gameplay as an artform is what got me hooked on plat fighters. There's so many variables unique to the genre that open up room for personal expression.

Even when they get optimized the emphasis on the human element is what keeps me playing them :)

Combo Devils is a lot of fun though still has Alpha/Early Beta technical stuff to work through. I wanna compete in it long term but in the meantime I need something else to focus on.

Back on ADHD meds (again). Hoping I can stay on them long term this time, the last year has been a mess with shortages and insurance.

Every time I get back on them it's like I timeskipped months of my life, but now that I can actually focus I'm excited to put my energy towards something.

From what it sounds like they aren't trying to compete with consoles, and wanna be a seamless way to get people into PC gaming.

Even buying pre-built PC's, your average person can get intimated by the whole process, so this simplifies things while letting games be optimized for the system.

So, about that lol. Feels really weird to not be going to Genesis since that's always been my anchor tournament even when I wasn't doing R1 singles.

I don't expect there to be any big changes to R2 before the season finale, so I'm just hoping next season takes the game in a better direction.
