Cart you're not hearing me. That might very well be a classic demo and you can't access it for free because you need to buy another game to get it but it's still just a bonus. Magazine demo discs are also not "paid demos" just because you have to buy the mag. Stop trying to find a loophole.

that's exactly NOT what I'm talking about. that's not a "demo" that's a bespoke thing with unique story stuff even. is it functionally a demo? yea obviously, just like a "multiplayer beta" is a demo in that way. I'm taking about DEMOS. Go to the store page, buy either the game or dl the demo-DEMOS.
but what came from there? nobody ever used the term "free demo" until the past decade
it's wild that "free demo" has just been commonly accepted into the gaming vernacular at this point. like, a demo is by definition (and tradition) always free. that is built into its purpose of being the free "try before you buy" appetizer. if it's were paid it would cease to be a" demo" as such.
every reply thread about A Discourse on any site is just complete garbage 100% of the time. Just happened to look at another one from this weekend to see how The People are feeling about A Thing and ofc instant regret set in.
I am the first person on earth to have this thought: social media is bad.
The new Super Bunnyhop video is here! HORSES may not have deserved the controversy it got, but it pairs beautifully with it. Thanks to some good new readings on criticism theory, I found a lot of meat on this bone to share that others missed. Please watch and enjoy!

what a bummer, why are we doing this crap still in 2026. it's one thing to be in the early days of something like this where one might not think about this but at this point it's impossible to claim ignorance (unless it's wilful).
You can wishlist the game here, if you want to help the devs out: store.steampowered.com/app/2288520/...
BAFTA pulling a trailer for an autobiographical game about surviving sexual assault only hours before it was said to be a part of a showcase is an exceptionally bad look.
Dude's a genius. Succession music, chef's kiss
personally more interested in Final Destination XIII-3: Lightning Returns and Final Destination IV: The After Years
that's halfway through the year, before the memory clusterfuck and everything
the eyes emoji but it's bloodshot zombie eyes dripping on the post below
especially when you apply this format to something like Metroid Dread (2005-ish - 2021) without mentioning they on and off had a go at the idea across different hardware and let the concept sit on ice for years. Or MP Federation Force (2009-2016) starting on DSi and getting shelved for a while.
is Exotica auto-correct sabotage for Exoprimal or did I miss a game somewhere?
while predictably annoying, I'd rather they do this than dump an undercooked mess out that will be cemented as such from launch reviews that will then be followed by months of emergency patches to get it to a perfectly fine and normal state. I assume it'll still need patches but the point stands.
elden ring is twitter. miiverse was tumblr.
yes it is true (it's obviously not true: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/17776)
That's right! We went beyond the LCD pixels of the GBA for the wild compo! My recently bought DS Lite finally had a good use.

Quantum Break released 10 years ago today, 5th April 2016.
Thank you to all our fans for the love! Here's a message from Jack Joyce himself, Shawn Ashmore.

and Netflix' biggest hit(?) Stranger Things is being released on disc by a UK boutique label. Everything is nuts.
20 years ago I tried sampling one of the super funky piano cues and putting it over the Impeach the President drums. Was dope af in its rough stage but I ultimately couldn't realize the idea.
In short, hell yea!
Left: a show whose writers constantly introduced major plot turns without any idea how to deal with them later.
Right: a show whose creators came up with their ending early on and stuck to it, no matter the mounting evidence that it was no longer viable.
Planning in TV is wildly overrated.
Ugh - please don't repost this awful manufactured AI dancing stuff. People doing dances they never did, like haunted puppets. It's demeaning and creepy.
it's Wednesday and I've failed.
While I'm also rolling my eyes at this news(? April Fool's? haven't checked): This is simply and blatantly not true and sounds like you've not seen any movies and just heard about what's popular here and there. Let alone very silly when The Thing is a remake of a film adapted from a novella.
and oh boy when he asks for sugar water with an absurd amount of sugar in it in the finale....
minor dislaimer: I've not switched regions in a minute but I would naively assume they didn't change how this works since then
Remains so weird to see accounts on here who seem pretty online, seem fairly left-leaning, and *still* post junk like “but I can’t stop using Twitter because that’s where my audience is” when linking to their weblogs and youtubes.
post from @cvxfreak on twitter: @cvxfreak 58m Anyone know what happens to Japan-specific content (i.e., the censored Resident Evil games) if you switch an eShop account from Japan to another region?
@cvxfreak.bsky.social re: (image) - nothing because it only matters what SKU you own. is it a global SKU=then it's the same anyway. is it a regional SKU=it remains that regional SKU. it won't show on the eShop as owned anymore but the virtual game card/library option remains as-is.
