Back in the day I saw Nita Strauss in a dive bar in Jersey when she was in an Iron Maiden cover band. It was SO obvious she was going to be a star.

Her debut album is my favorite instrumental release ever. Genius.

Ran my first game of Shadowdark last night, and really enjoyed it!

Lost track of how many times I said "Target Number" instead of "DC", and "Logic check" instead of "Intelligence check", and "Melee check" instead of "Strength check"

He had a lot of practice drawing hoods on MK lol

I wish I could say “called it!” after this post from 3 months ago, but @gailsimone.bsky.social’s response totally undercut any confidence I had in that prediction.

I've been reading X-men for close to 40 years, and The Uncanny X-Men Annual #1 by @gailsimone.bsky.social and @karnythia.bsky.social is hands down my favorite annual. What an amazing story. I love how @davidmarquez.bsky.social's cover echoes his cover for issue #1 of the series, too. 10/10

You know what Uncanny needs? More scenes of people driving slowly. And parking. How do we really know how people arrived somewhere if you don’t depict them parking? Oh, and people walking awkwardly and unnaturally.

And at least one scene of people attacking Angel with coat hangers.

I love the supporting characters like Karen Page and Jacques Duquesne, and it seems like the showrunners do too - they actually get to DO stuff!

Part of the rewatch is with MMRPG in mind, taking some notes on characters that could be playable heroes or NPCs in an upcoming campaign.

I’m def gonna rewatch 2 and 3 tonight!

I might start there, but swap Military for Law Enforcement. Maybe lower Ego to 0 and up Melee to 2. It would be more optimal to raise Agility with all those ranged powers but these guys are meatheads with guns so I like the suboptimal choice there.

Would make the majority of them henchmen, though.

Hot damn as soon as this Daredevil season is over I need to run or play in a campaign with these characters.

Here’s a MCU version of Swordsman i did a ways back. He’d be so fun to play. Totally need to update my Karen Page build, though!

Well… shit. Sam Keith died. From Preludes and Nocturnes, to Marvel Comics Presents, to the Maxx, he was a huge part of my teens. Absolutely loved his style. Really sad to hear of his passing, and he was WAY too young.
