Writer's block always seems to be my brain's weird way of telling me I have a scene or character wrong...remove them (put them elsewhere) and suddenly I can write again.
This would be great if it didn't take me upwards of three hours to reach that conclusion. 🫠
So much of the “promise” of AI right now is saving time creating.
Let me say it from my chest: all I want is to spend *more* time creating. I’m not making content. I’m engaging in my vocation, my calling, my literal reason for existing.

It's still so strange...life without Alice. I'll never again come home to her "ow"s or take a silly photo of her being a gremlin...and yet Google Photos keeps creating collages of her antics.
Even writing has just been a reminder. No more warm laps or judgments or weird key presses. 😮💨 I miss her.
It's been difficult to get back into writing after the last couple of months, but I finally broke the creative slump yesterday. Roughly 5,000 words towards a couple of short stories—one fully drafted and a second started with an actual outline. So, small victories, yay! 🎉
For those who don't follow me on IG, I apologize for the lack of posts. Alice, my 20-year-old cat, passed away at the end of March and I haven't mentally recovered...every time I try to post, it just seems irrelevant.
Hopefully I'll get back to writing soon. Til then, take care, everyone.
You're welcome. I feel like our parties are largely all left-leaning ideologically but vary in how socialist they actually are in practice. Green is most socialist, than NDP, Liberals are more centrist...and then there's the Conservative party which is just...quackers in my opinion.
So, I'm not a poli-sci major...the NDP has been around since the 60s/70s? But I feel they've gotten more traction in the last decade or so thanks to more socially minded ideals. The liberals have lost a lot of faith by failing to maintain their larger campaign promises...like changing FPTP voting.

I'm feeling this, too ... and I've sadly reached a point where I'm no longer rationalizing it. Most people are just stupid or willfully ignorant. That's it. That's all I've got left.
Because the alternative is they know what they're doing and they're cruel and selfish.

I don't have this concern with the fantasy stories, but...I worry my horror stories aren't scary enough to be called horror! 😅 Any other #writers have this problem?
