It's starting to cool down at last in Australia, so in the afternoons we have been roasting marshmallows over a small firepit, just chatting about our day...bliss π₯°
Little joys like this recharge me after hearing the world events for another day.

An interesting idea that I wouldn't have thought of, thanks for posting!
It's not dissimilar to the same twisted logic domestic violence users have. We don't accept that manipulation from another adult, so why should we accept it toward a child, who has even less power?
Just fyi, in studies of >1M+ children, spanking was shown to produce zero positive and 13 negative outcomes, including anxiety.
There are better effective ways to parent.
I started university this week :)
A lecturer pointed out that because we had all enrolled in a helping profession, we believed that the world/humanity could improve, despite the current distressing situations.
It had me thinking π€
Autistic people often have awful school years, despite loving learning. Hopefully, schools are more inclusive and supportive nowadays.

Keep exposing them, calling their awful behaviour out, and change laws that enable said behaviour.
Its incredible that half the population can think of the other half as barely human, simply like an appliance for their sexual relief.
I hope so, but I am worried about how many seem to resonate with Hanson - even though she has no solutions, they feel they are being heard.
What an interesting article! Thanks for posting it.
It is nice to see other Aussies on here occasionally π₯°
I haven't seen anyone I know in real life on here, though π₯²
My new years resolution is easy this year - to play more video games!
I've started playing Fnaf and have completed games 1 and 2 (I'm up to night 6 on 2).
It helps so much to have now adult sons who have been into Fnaf since the beginning :)
I'm sorry I forgot to come back to this comment. I haven't been on here much while studying :)

Nope, the tree has beenfully empty now for a couple of weeks!
They have a very short growing and harvesting season and require handpicking because they are so delicate.
I'm told that this is why they won't ever be a commercial crop. Lovely for a backyard, though :)
Gosh, I hope you're right.
Ooh, please teach me your ways :)
I have moved from right to left, but I'm still getting better at advocating (mostly for myself - it's somewhat easier for me to stand up for others).
I agree with this.
Bluesky is the best of the best of social media, mental health wise, Imo.
The other platforms are quite harmful, particularly to teens and younger children. Not necessarily intentionally*
*(There are thousands of academic articles on this topic. I have read about one dozen).
What a lovely sentiment!
My days are like that.
There is always tomorrow :)
I prioritise my work and stop when I get tired. I work in fits and spurts, and rest as needed.
Most of it gets done in the end.
All in good time :)
Wow, that would be so clean and functional!
What a beauty, perfect colours and reflections π
What were you waiting on in your kitchen, if you don't mind me asking?
Image shows a white container of home-grown ripe mulberries, which are dark red and black.
It's mulberry season in Qld, and I have picked kilos of berries off our little backyard tree π₯°
I've made mulberry curd (like lemon curd, but sweeter - and pink!) I also plan to freeze some until there is enough to make jam π
Loving nature's free food... I didn't even remember that we had a tree! π
It does seem to thrill the younger school children walking past as well!
Just on large suburbia - my neighbour said he loved them too, they would walk through to his yard occasionally :)
I even hatched ducklings via incubator, as well as one batch naturally. They are very messy and cute!
I see serious back pain.
All the best for your brother, mate.
No doubt he's in excellent hands.
Apparently, our coffee here takes way better, and Starbucks has never been able to compete very effectively.
Maybe they'll have to adapt, like McDonald had to do, to survive in France? π€·ββοΈ
That duck looks great! I haven't ever seen one of those in real life, but I have kept the pekinese and mallard varieties.
