On the list of things that make me happy today- so excited that these #kiborobot lessons for grades 3-5 are finally going to be accessible to teachers. Was thrilled to help review several of the lessons and get a sneak peak at all the awesome! #EduSky

My coworker went to this and LOVED it! I’m jealous!
Live @ #FETC2025 | Brittney Tarr gives us the rundown on #robotics in the classroom! Don't miss her hands-on session tomorrow, "Computer Science Curriculum Design for the Creative Thinker" for the opportunity to work with KinderLab Robotics and LEGO Education tools. tinyurl.com/sc9s2tn6
16 Days into 2025 and I’m blown away to have already gotten 6 opportunities to spread the #EarlyChildhood #PlayBasedLearning #STEMEd love. I don’t love attention, but I’m passionate enough about changing the landscape of #ECE that I’ll keep putting myself out there as often as people will let me! ❤️
Teachers sitting around a round LEGO table engaged in building tall structures out of LEGO bricks
Had a blast yesterday at the @legoeducation.bsky.social booth, creating, sharing, and dreaming with other educators! Honored to have been part of the LEGO Ambassador panel on student engagement yesterday! If you haven’t check them out #FETC2025 go get free LEGO, coffee, and a little build time in!
Jed Dearybury and three women wearing pipecleaner "hats" one that says FETC, one that had hearts on it, and one with a heart, peace sign, and swirl.
Starting the day off strong convincing my school team to do the @stjude.bsky.social EPIC Challenge with me! Loved the session by #JedDearybury. Just wish he had a larger room and more time! #FETC2025
#FETC day 1 was filled with 5 hours of hands-on fun and creation! As excited as I was to share with all my teacher friends, I’m even more excited to take my presenter hat off today and learn! #EduSky
Today’s the day #EduSky #FETC Lovelies! Excited to present and network with all you amazing educators!
Collaboration is also an essential life skill Ss will use everywhere both now and in their future. I’m always shocked to hear how many Ts avoid group work because Ss can’t handle it. I get it. We’re all #TeacherTired. But if we don’t provide experiences to collaborate, our Ss can’t learn it.
Morning #EduSky! Leaving for #fetc today 🥳🥳🥳 I cannot wait! Interested in a hands-on learning experiences where you can interact and create? Check out my creative computer science workshop or my circuitry table on Tuesday (Search: Brittney Tarr in the schedule). Can’t wait to network with my people!
Yes! Can’t wait for FETC, though I do wish it was going to be slightly warmer
Always a good day when I get to share my passion for early childhood STEM + Play! Thanks for the opportunity @carlyandadam.bsky.social and the constant cheerleading @ekuwah.bsky.social ❤️
Thank you!!
Those walking horses are awesome!
I need more info!!
Sharing this again with #EduSky and #FETC as we’re officially in Jan now and if you’re like me, you’re starting to plan your schedules! Excited to meet people! Let me know if you’re presenting on anything early childhood or elementary! Eager to see what others in the field are doing ❤️
Just found out my teacher bestie is getting sent to #FETC with me after a last minute change up and now I’m even MORE excited!
Currently? My masters was all online, but my doctorate is mostly in person.
Appreciate you 🥰
🎉 Start 2025 with Inspiration! 🎉
Our Legend Makers Podcast kicks off the year with @adventuresmstarr.bsky.social ! Dive into play-based STEM, fostering creativity, and building STEM identity in young learners. 🚀 youtu.be/ZOKZX7DvdAo?...
We started small this year with PreK since it’s a rare time we are all teaching the same grade at the same time and can combine classes for collaborative work, and I’ve LOVED it. We’re working with admin on schedules that will allow us to extend this to other grades ❤️
This could help our youngest learners practice patience while also having a visual reassurance that they won’t be forgotten! Smart!
Yes! Teachers don’t need to be experts in a tool to introduce it to children! They can learn alongside each other!
@ampt.bsky.social will forever be obsessed with pulling Squishy Circuits into our early childhood projects!
This makes my former DHH teacher heart sing!
Young preschool girl wearing reindeer antlers sits at a table in front of a project. She has a clay votive, play doh and clay hooked up to an LED Light and a squishy circuit
In PreK, our librarian taught about various festivals of light, Ss made diyas or votives out of clay with our art teacher, and today we made electric “candles” with #SquishyCircuits. Tomorrow we will all have a “candlelit” story time together back in the library. #EduSky #STEAMReads #IntegratedSTEM
I’ll be there! Excited to make some new connections! I feel like #FETC is one of the best events of the year for growing my PLN
Thanks! I tried to post a Timelapse video but BlueSky currently hates me and videos it seems. It’s been fun seeing our 3rd graders really take ownership of the project as well as their genuine appreciation that our admin has entrusted them with such a big job ❤️
Students in a school hallway painting a rainbow on the wall. Some are on ladders, some are standing on the ground.
3rd grade “identity” mural is coming along! Next step: teaching Ss how to make silhouettes and use a vinyl cutter ❤️ #EduSky #STEAM #MakerEd
A friend asked me this the other day and it was an interesting moment because I honestly hadn’t even considered asking to be paid for my time. I think, as educators, we are simply so used to performing unpaid labor that it doesn’t even cross our mind to ask for $ sometimes. Concerning.
