Is it weird that as I read this, the laugh in my head sounded like Tucker Carlson's?

My Bluesky highlights so far today:
- SCOTUS refusing to hear an anti-Trans case on "parent's rights"
- MyLastSoberDuck @bammacdduck.bsky.social calling U.S. alcohol "Hegseth water"
- The Mouthy Renegade Writer @mouthyrenegade.bsky.social introducing me to the insult "soup fork."
Thanks!
Yep. Can't have young children choking on small toy parts! They have to live long enough to make it to school, where they can get shot, like proper Americans do.
Careful what you wish for. If the provinces started stocking U.S. liquor again, it doesn't mean Canadians are going to buy it. We're done. Get over it.
An American Bulldog named Criss Cross Applesauce, enjoys the tomato stake she found in the garden. She is supposed to be all white, but in this photo, there are significant brown streaks of mud and dirt all over her face and body. Criss Cross had a great time getting dirty.
With the last of the snow (hopefully) melted away, and before the grass and plants can fully come in, there is that ugly period of Spring, where basically everything is dirt.
Criss Cross Applesauce highly approves.
My furniture and carpet? Not so much.
More than a third of the electorate blindly supports him. Beyond his cult base, thousands more were uninformed enough to vote him into office a second time. Another third doesn't even care enough about themselves or their country to vote at all. America is broken. "Good people" notwithstanding. 💔
Pierre is incapable of listening to anyone. Why do you think his caucus members are leaving in droves?
Good advice - especially advice that helps keep people safe - is worth amplifying. Share this idea with the young people in your life. Better yet, be the person who helps, if anyone ever tries this with you.
Discovery ought to be fun...
Naked mole rats are something every young woman should learn about, keep photos of, and share often with the message "I have one of those too!" to anyone who sends them an unsolicited dick pic.
Damn. I thought maybe they were like some of the others, and starting to see the light.
Sometimes, I scan the headlines and think:
"More Trump insanity. More terrible people doing terrible things."
Then I close my computer, and simply avoid the news that day.
It's my form of self-care. Feel free to borrow it.
Aren't they big MAGAts? If they're who I think they are, then this meme is big news, coming from them.
Damn. That was painful to watch. This fellow part owner of Canada despairs for our future.
An old flame used to quote this (author? filmmaker?) who came up with the phrase: "There's a sound truth makes when it's being told."
This post made me finally experience what he meant.
Easy-to-understand explanations should be amplified. Loudly and often. For as long as it takes.
Nothing about the "assassination attempt" - and the two deaths directly associated with it - is good. But the blackout silence on it is even worse. He can't shut up about long-standing Twitter beefs from 15 years ago, but on this, nary a peep. 🤷🏼♀️
MAGA is noticing. That part is worth amplifying.
Wow. This lesson - to give your pain a different place to live - needs to be amplified from the rooftops. Let's tell everyone. ♥️
Proud of my country, and grateful that @mark-carney.bsky.social is our Prime Minister. Regardless of how you feel about the Canadian political landscape, he is the right man at the right time.
Some people think that dogs are stupid, because they love everything and everyone indiscriminately. I think some people are stupid and don't know what love is.
Helpful information should be amplified. This is a two-for-one: you can foil internet tracking, if only for a moment, AND you can save yourself some characters by simply deleting everything after the "?" in the link you're sharing. The more you know.
I wonder if that was impacted by the party having the "leadership review" on the same weekend as the Ontario PC convention?🤔
Well, at least he didn't die, like the last guy J.D. traveled to see...
Oooh...what did I miss?
Amplifying this gentleman, @largemanabroad.bsky.social, for thoughtful & well-informed takes on the "Big Picture" of what's going on. It may be my 🇨🇦 bias, but this post hit hard. About how the U.S. can still be saved, is *worth* saving, and how looking to Canada's example can help. bit.ly/41tzlRu
Thank you for providing such a simple, meaningful prompt. Learning to pay attention takes practice, and your two questions are a great way to keep it top of mind.
The beautiful photographs from Artemis II, and the emotional messages from the crew upon their return, has made me want to do a better job of noticing all that is beautiful, unique, and special about our world. Here are two simple questions you can ask yourself that may help you instill the habit.
Love the shot and the info. But "kleptoparasite" sounds like a funky you'd find in the current administration. 🤷🏼♀️
Useful explanations should be amplified. Feel free to borrow this one.
