Trying to set a Finder replacement as I did on Sequoia and earlier, but the setting doesn't survive logouts.
Is `defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices/com.apple.launchservices.secure LSHandlers -array-add '{LSHandlerContentType="public.folder";LSHandlerRoleAll="…";}' broken on #macOS 26.4 #Tahoe?
The current (and future) fuel prices, the global energy sources revamp, and many (very) people slowly realizing that they might not need a big-ass tank after all — it could be the right car at the right time in the right place. I'm rooting for them! Love the concept. We need moar smol cars, for sure
… Claude knows how I like to do things. Fish + gum (github.com/charmbracele...) + a few very simple local helpers = joy

It's good software and scratches a lot of my itches. It works for me for several reasons.
Re shells scripts + joy: Bash et al never fully clicked with me, but I fell hard for fish. Just really good. I distilled my preferences in a `writing-shell-scripts` skill, so …
Memes image of Aragorn and Theoden with undercuts and earrings saying "Chat, the beacon notification just hit. Gondor's asking for a carry" and "Say less."
Was feeling melancholy, but then I dug up Theoden with an undercut from my vault of memes

Apple Watch, no phone. When I run, I try to run as unencumbered as possible. Pants are a must, rest is optional 😉
This is what happens when 77 million people take leave of their senses and put a manifestly unqualified, unfit, mentally ill narcissistic man-child in charge of the country and the world's most powerful. military. This is what happens when the media 'bothsides' election coverage.
Got it, and agree

You mean the cooking implement or the dish? Because I just talked about this with my wife (avid cook), and she told me that both lasagna (Italy) and moussaka (Greece) are casserole dishes
Nice topic, by the way, made for a good conversation 😉
<whispers> every high schooler I've spoken to has used or regularly uses chatbots, and teaching them a form of "literacy" which involves extensive information literacy, better vs. worse uses, etc. (rather than abstinence-only education or ignoring the issue entirely) is good, actually

Ah. Not a claw person, me. Not yet, tho.
Is it, though? Hard to believe, I mean
Fish buddies! Such a good shell.
I wrote a writing-shell-scripts skill a while ago. I love how all my fish scripts work and look and feel now. Not groundbreaking but quite neat.

hello 👋 i have developed a new tool called blüuümpÃi. blüuümpÃi will convert every file on your hard drive to a .wav file without asking you, maximize your system volume, and play them on every bluetooth speaker you have ever connected to. if you offer feedback on blüuümpÃi i will take legal action

#Listmonk feels bare-bones but isn't, it's quite functional, just a bit less polished than the other tools. I love that I can write mails using Markdown. The template editor doesn't drive me nuts. Good stuff so far.
I need to bring my own mail server for both (or use one of the supported services.)
#Notifuse is pretty nice overall but the drag-and-drop template editor doesn't do it for me. Also, it insists on centering the content within the available width in the mail client, and I don't care much for that at all.
It's good, but I don't think it's for me.
Currently pitting #Listmonk and #Notifuse against #Buttondown. Want to know how they fare.
I really like BD but my subscriber base is >1k which means I spend $29 on each monthly mail. Fiscally, that's not a winning proposition right now for me as I'm still not made of money
