Ordinarily one would say that 80 years was a good run. Yet we could have used a whole lot more of Davey Lopes, his wisdom, his dedication to craft, the way he honored friends, family, culture, team and teamwork. We needed at least 80 more years with you, Davey. God bless. Rest in power, my friend.

Are Native Americans Birthright Citizens? Government Lawyer Can’t Say. File under: Things you don't want to say in front of the Supreme Court.

In the Supreme Court hearing on birthright citizenship today, the most crystal-clear thing was this- native Americans, the continent’s indigenous original inhabitants - were and always have been royally screwed by the wave of illegal immigrants led here by Christopher Columbus.

Inquirer staffer Mel Greenberg’s poll changed women’s college basketball forever | Claire Smith Even before the eyes of the NCAA, women's basketball was alive and well, especially here. Greenberg's poll brought cohesiveness to the sport and created a platform for household names today.

"Greenberg gave even the most accomplished chroniclers of women’s hoops — as well as newbies such as this reporter — a divining rod."

Thank you, Congressman. We say “Never forget…” It’s not just a mantra, but a demand to act in the face of the inhumane. You acted. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Maybe Trump wants to rewrite Cuban Missile Crisis history by adding his name prior to JFK’s.

Donald Trump’s continued loutish behavior towards women reporters is nothing short of nasty, stupid, ugly, obnoxious, terrible. Those adjectives, BTW, were thrown at women journalists by Trump. How disgusting. TRUMP, I use the words you spewed at one woman just doing her job, “Quiet, Piggy.”

Urging all pols who stand against tyranny to save our country, and assure the safety of all Americans. Stay strong. Be safe, patriots. Thank you for your service during these frightening times, Senator Murphy and others.

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

Hey, my friend, stay happy!

Absolutely not. I’d rather have a Dem with the guts shown by our governor.

I’ve voted regularly for over 50 years. The one vote I most regret is the one I cast for John Fetterman. The current senator from Pa. out-trumps Trump. He has betrayed the people who voted for him, and betrayed all Americans. He should be primary-ed at the first opportunity.

A Game Seven is sports equivalent of the final act of a Shakespeare Classic play. Add in Mad Max and Shohei Ohtani and you so great a possibility of top-level drama it’s almost too much to bear! @bluejays.com @dodgers.com

Game 3 of the World Series had many heroes on both sides.
My top LA three:
Ohtani
Klein
Freeman

My top TOR three:
Lauer
Guerrero
BP

THE MVP? The guy who reached base nine times, had four extra-base hits and was intentionally walked four times.
