Now, a bill has just been passed in Florida that lets DeSantis remove elected officials for promoting pride/LGBTQ+ people in their official capacity.
No court hearing necessary.

One of those depts is my dept, American Studies. A whole field which was started AT UT in 1941. These institutions do not matter and do not care for us but this complete disregard for the work and unpaid labor that so many have done for years. This is enraging.
