I once made my daughter laugh her head off by using a piece of bread like a napkin, to wipe some red sauce off my chin. I didn't do it intentionally but afterward we both decided that the whole thing worked out pretty well. I had the bread to sop up extra sauce after eating the pasta anyway.

Exactly. Only the conviction being overturned because of things like an investigation revealing bias, manipulation of evidence/witnesses or something similar can wipe the slate clean. Or a credible confession from another person actually guilty of the crime, backed up by evidence and testimony.

My software architect spouse clung to a Microsoft 7 laptop till it died. Software he's downloaded for his new machine all comes with AI. He's pissed. I won't buy appliances that use apps. Siri/Alexa et al have no place in our lives. We use PINs to get into our phones. No facial recognition.
