[DM] That's right. We ended up on the same timeline about... 14 years ago? And we were both "in" Rocket at the time. They were a small child, though. They have a Bsky account: SilverSakaki.

They were incredibly smug about getting the @ before any of the many, *many* other Silvers did, ahaha.

[DM] They are pretty busy lately, so they may be slow to reply, but something tells me you might both benefit from knowing someone undergoing similar struggles.

[DM] That said... You might also enjoy talking to my sibling. They're in something of a similar position to you - they weren't to blame at any level for anything our dad did, and they're working towards a Leader position.

[DM] When I got out of Rocket I had my own agreement with the League, and I've paid a lot of attention to how to communicate with them. I've also got friends in the Sinnoh League I can ask on advice.

[DM] Then I think you know the best path to go down. Question the League, and do what you feel will keep your job, so long as that doesn't damage your own morals. I'm happy to give advice in the future, too, should you feel you need it, by the by.

[DM] like you're being duplicitous. It may look like keeping secret until someone comes to you about it, and you only speak about the situation when you're confronted, in order to more broadly keep the peace.

It may look like something between, or unrelated.

[DM] you should consider most is how this will affect you and your peace and happiness going forward, what's right *for you*.

That may look like being blunt and open about it, which might invite some of the worst people to speak badly of you, but would mean you could go forward without feeling++

[DM] In my timeline, there were multiple Maxies, and two of them were extremely destructive - blowing up cities, torture, more than eco-terrorism by leaps and bounds. In other timelines, they "only" awoke Kyogre and Groudon, and were remorseful once they saw the cost of their deeds.

[DM] I see... So they're trying to show their willingness to move on, but not *say* it explicitly.

May I ask what Maxie and Archie did in your timeline? My apologies, it probably sounds like I'm asking you to bare your heart, but I promise I'm not just asking to ask.

I have a vague idea of who you may be related to, but save for that... Ah well, with how many timelines there are, it can be hard to know who specifically has done what.

That complicates matters, a lot, and it's probably not going to do anyone any good if you do anything more than apologise for what part you had in things and get some distance from them if they're making demands.

Otherwise? That's up to you. You don't owe anyone who isn't close to you or employing you any information. If you've not done anything to harm them, you don't owe them your time or apologies. And if you did? Judging by your apparent age, I'd say you were probably a victim, too.

Either way, people who will try to hold you responsible for things you had no hand in are people who will treat you poorly one way or another, and will never be satisfied. That's not your problem, and that's not your fault. Just try not to work directly for any of them.

However, there are *many* things I had no hand in, to say nothing of no awareness of, and I have cut off all contact with Rocket even to the point of no longer talking with my dad, despite our relationship being good.

You may have had no hand in your family's dealings, that I don't know.

Acknowledge when appropriate - if appropriate - any hand you had, but do your best to never let someone in power over you hold you responsible for things you *didn't* do.

That depends very heavily on what you're doing. If you meet someone in a shopping centre and hit up a conversation, you don't need to disclose until you're comfortable doing so. If you're trying to get into a position with control over someone - even if just as a manager in a konbini - make++

Just as a matter of being someone who goes out into the woods or taking trips to Galar's wild area. To say nothing of my time in Sinnoh's underground. But I keep as good a stock as I can of exact findings, and also only sell my finds to licensed vendors and such.

I also keep incredibly granular track of both where my money comes from, and where it goes, since the first place people look when trying to form some connection between me and my past is my financials.
