I will forever stand by DT as a good expansion. I believe it's not perfect, we're probably never getting "perfect", and Squeenix keeps trying to cram two stories into one expansion (see also EW) - among other legit complaints

But I also believe that Yoshi-P and Squeenix are trying to right the ship

I don't know how much of it is "OMG XIV player count isn't going up" and "OMG DT was a definitively bad expac for X/Y/Z reasons of things I just didn't like", but yeah, I think a LOT of the negative XIV discourse is by people who truly don't know what they're talking about
