I'm an occasional visitor to Canterbury and have some mobility limitations. It is bad walking along New Dover Road into town as there is an underpass and junctions with priority for motor traffic. When you use a taxi the ring road seems to be at a near standstill no matter what time of day it is.

Catching the bus to the ferry last year was stressful. I think only the TER replacements appear on the station display, but there are other buses on the printed bus timetables which don't, including the one which runs to the port. We thought we'd missed it, but couldn't get a taxi. Bus turned up.
Though the one in Bern does have some lovely bear statues (as a childhood fan of Mary Plain I appreciated them anyway!)
Fascinating, thank you very much for retrieving and updating
We have them here in Ipswich in a part of town definitely not "left behind", very neat painting which makes you think someone is being paid to do it
You can see the arctic wolves too, I think
We're off tomorrow on our own adventure partly inspired by your trip West and the only Brexit Benefit (for Europeans) of more ferries from France to Ireland. Will follow you with interest, hope you have fun.
Apart from Leakey's, when we went we enjoyed a walk along the canal, Carnac point and crossing the railway twice. Found several good coffee and brunch places. None of it the sort of thing I follow your account for though!
Went for a walk along the beach and a cup of tea there for our wedding anniversary a few years ago! Very interesting:-)
The t-shirt from last year was good quality, nice fabric using proper construction, much appreciated as merch can be rubbish sometimes.
Very informative article James, I have noticed improvements myself. I renewed my passport using a photo with a code from the photographer Also they have put the HC1 claim form online, used to be a long form you had to hand write, mostly filling in "n/a" and then post, this was much easier
Great to see you have moved this over Jo, always interesting and enjoyable to follow. We have only managed one of the easier Suffolk Wildlife Trust sites by public transport so far (Carlton Marshes). Challenging when we took a wrong turn on the walk back to the station.
