The yellow and red sunfish-shaped Flutter, a small airship and home of our heroes, gently floating through the beautiful blue skies with a few puffy clouds scattered about. Below we see a vast ocean that stretches beyond the horizon, a world covered in water with a few island nations. What if Waterworld... but robots? There's an ancient cylindrical structure sticking out of the ocean, probably a chimney that contributed to the climate change from the previous civilization.

Our heroes, MegaMan Volnutt, a dark haired boy with his signature blue armor and next to him at the helm of the Flutter, Roll Caskett, a blonde girl with spiky Knuckles the Echidna style hair, wearing a red uniform and big red hat. They look happy and carefree, eager to get to their next adventure in this perpetually dying, ocean-covered hellscape. Man this game looks gorgeous all these years later, just a beautiful anime style art direction with clear, brightly colored shapes and characters, it's beautiful!

MegaMan being startled by a massive Reaverbot, an ancient gray-ish robot six little legs, big chunky body, drills for hands and a knight's helmet shaped head with a big red eye and ridges on its face that give it a menacing, skeletal look. It's missing one of its arms, probably due to being so old. (that's what happens when you get old, kids) Though huge and evil looking, its skeletal smile hints at it maybe, possibly being a cuddly friend? MegaMan doesn't wait to find out and jumps off of the ledge into the ocean. (but actually lands on the Flutter and escapes)

A beautiful forest clearing with bright green grass, quite the contrast to a disturbing situation of an old man being cornered by a police officer and an inspector that looks like if Inspector Gadget got old and fat and grew mustache. They're here to arrest the old man, one professor Barrell Caskett under suspicion of exploiting his granddaughter and adopted grandson by sending them on dangerous adventures for his own fame and profit.
