Thanks Sarah, me too about the feather βΊοΈ
That's a beautiful image !
Snap ! I have a GCG also in glorious light :)
A Great Crested Grebe floating serenely whilst gently preening, plucking away old unwanted feathers and discarding them, holding one in its bill. The light is soft and gentle, created by the dawn and thin mist.
Great Crested Grebe, quietly preening in rather sublime conditions of dawn light, thin mist and super still water. I love the detail in the bird, the glorious colours and the delicate little feather,

Can't beat a hare π Great image!
Beautiful Sarah π
A close up of the flower head of wild garlic, with two 14-spot black and yellow ladybirds. In the background is a band of blurred bluebells, and green and white mottling from the field of wild garlic.
Two 14-spot Ladybirds, on wild garlic flowers with a bluebell & beech wood background
So many bluebell woodland pics, so I tried something different. The yellow & black ladybirds are stunning - contrast beautifully with the vibrant green & white garlic.

Not sure yet, they were all there this morning but then flew off and I lost them. I'll be back to check soon π
Sanderling feeding at dawn
Sanderlings were foraging along the shore for a little time this morning, before darting off somewhere - this one finding a little morsel. Pale yellow sunrise colours only today.

Very sad π
A single silhouetted Sanderling feeding in the shallow water of a previous wave, as another one approaches from the left. The overall tone is golden yellow caused by the rising sun low on the horizon - sparkles catching the incoming wave, and the water all around the Sanderling.
Sanderling feeding at dawn
Early start to catch the sunrise, loving the reflected colours and sparkles on the wave and standing water, and the silhouetted Sanderling with it's catch.
It's a 16x9 crop so please view large if you can

I love this - looks like a watercolour, with such beautiful textures and pastel colours !
Thanks Sarah, yes, I liked it too - nice to see them just standing in the surf rather than running away from it π€£
A single sanderling in winter plumage, standing on one leg on the beach as soft frothy surf flows over its foot. A number of other sanderlings are standing behind, out of focus, giving some context to the group that flits in and around the surf on the beach

Lovely Sarah, great composition with those berries π
Hi Liam, I can't seem to get 2026 posts in this feed - almost certainly me, but it should work for 26 ? Or did I misunderstand ? Thanks βΊοΈ
