Honestly, it's incredibly sad that the concept was distorted by conspiracy theorists. It's fine, though, planners just had to go back to using terminology like "complete communities" or "walkable and bikeable neighbourhoods" to describe these livable spaces.

More than switching from fossil fueled vehicles to EVs, the transformation of cities in the Americas, including the US, to be walkable and bikeable will be vital for the planet.
