Love this this theory and this isn't a callout but @csweatpants.bsky.social might have something interesting to add to this :)

Sexy Marge really shouldn't be seducing middle school Homer (he legit looks younger than the HS flashback episodes in that frame).

Without stating your age, post your favorite film released the year you turned 18.
I feel like I've said this many times but it's a core part of my identity: as a kid I saw "Young Einstein" with Yahoo Serious in the afternoon with friends in the theater and then saw "Dead Poets Society" that evening in the theater with my mom. I have no idea how it happened but it did.
Being aware of crime and antisocial behavior isn't fundamentally a conservative thing. How you react to it may be and there are many non-conservative reactions to them that are more productive.
He has 13 followers and follows 13 people so there's literally no way to know anything about him.
Human bugs tend to be the ones that require weird cases to trigger while AI bugs are commonly caused by humans. But yeah AI bug reports without fixes are kind of crappy. But so much is now.
Heh. I'm not an expert but I think most ad buys like that are not for particular apps but instead "we'll pay X per view of people who match these criteria" with particular ad networks. So that game uses a network fannon is also using and you are on their targeted audience ! :)
The power of geolocation...
Tbh I think that period was probably exactly after Jabba's/Tatoonie. He needed the final visit to Yoda to realize he had finished his training.
My kids yelling out while getting Klondike bars, "I'll get the spoons!"
After more than 60 years of serving our community, Fort Hunt Preschool will be closing at the end of the 2025-2026 school year. Despite exploring many options to secure a stable and affordable location, we were unable to find a sustainable path forward. Our landlord ultimately did not approve our lease proposal, even with a significantly increased offer. We are deeply grateful to the generations of families, students, and staff who have made Fort Hunt Preschool so special. Thank you for being a part of our community.
We are so saddened about this outcome.
I realized I let my subscription to lwn.net lapse. So I fixed that. If you're at all interested in Linux coverage (or Python, really), consider subscription to them to support the really good stories they've been doing for decades.
Couscous, caramelized onions, and chili crisp is a pretty good combo.
My recollection is that they... don't find him?
Brits really have no standing to make fun of other countries' place names...
"The Addams Family" (1991) holds up really well. A great movie that I enjoyed watching with my kids as an adult more than I enjoyed watching as a kid.
Checking it out again today...
Two people with I voted stickers.
Early voting in Old Town Alexandria is steady but no lines right now. Open until 3pm today and more hours during the week! Vote Yes and Sandy.
To be perhaps excessively pedantic, I believe it would be on Columbia Island (Lady Bird Johnson Park) which is an island in the Potomac, surrounded by boundary channel to the west, so part of DC.
Definitely agree in large part and Kenobi is definitely better than the overall reaction. I think, to me, it felt a touch less refined and sloppier than Andor (which also has some). Kenobi, to me, felt like a very good novel adaptation, which will always have some mismatches to the movies.
It is.
I trust "we are now processing data from Integrity" is good.
Huh. Looking a bit more sleek now too.
Ah I guess didn't exploded "tried" and probably just cut their hand with the rock or whatever...
Newspaper article: Hurt by Railroad Torpedo. Alexandria enjoyed a comparatively sane Fourth of July, and as a consequence there were few casualties. The only serious Injury reported was that of Johann Coleman, 8-year-old son of Joseph Coleman, of North Columbus street, who tried to explode a railroad torpedo by pounding it between two rocks. Dr. Walter Warfield was called in to dress badly lacerated hand.
Apparently it was pretty common Alexandria in the early 1900s?! (This is from 1908 also from the Post.)
I had learned about this years ago so had a vague memory, they were various size explosive packets with straps they put on tracks that would make a loud bang when a train went over them to warn the train crew that a work crew was up ahead. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co...

Huh, looks fun. I never played that since I didn't have an Amiga or Genesis. But looks and feels very similar to the 1993 DOS shareware game Slicks 'n' Slide, which I played a ton back then. www.mobygames.com/game/855/sli...
I would be surprised if it's not possible but somehow haven't found anything in a few minutes of searching. Maybe it's easier if you use it yourself (I also don't use it even though I'm on Xfinity...)
