I'm discovering this the hard way, all of my cooking so far has been improv, and my instincts take me pretty far because I've been cooking since I was ~9 but baking is forcing me to think of cooking as a science and not just *vibes*

I've been getting my parents to sneak in more protein into their diet, replacing curd with skyr, and even putting in some unflavored protein powder in their dal / sambar, or even idli/dosa batter
oo, I'll check it out. Been looking for things to read on my new xteink
i really insisted that they make the kitchen huge, this is just one half of it in the picture, the other half is like a mini living room situation, with a little work table (still being set up) in one corner for my mother to work from when she's not in her office room
here at my parents' place they mostly cook a mixture of tamil / kerala food, but they've since started experimenting with some baking. it's mostly vegetarian here, they don't eat meat
i need a big kitchen so bad
i'm glad i *finally* moved out of my parents' place 2 years ago but i'm definitely bummed out about not getting to spend as much time in their new kitchen (which is still being moved into, cleaned up)
waoww
what do you predominantly use for your data science work (which i imagine is a good portion of the stuff you do?)
> I haven't really written any untyped code
i haven't really asked *agents* to write any untyped code
Also curious to see how agents write Python, other than a little lua that I have agents write to make me little plugins for neovim, I haven't really written any untyped code (though I understand typing is a lot more common in Python now?)
I do really need to see where the Python ecosystem is at rn, ngl. I feel like it's come far since 2020 which is when I last used it. the Astral stuff seems very cool
@sevoris.bsky.social do you have any recommendations wrt knowledge graphs, i haven't really fucked around with those, or graph dbs in a while
i've been watching far too many star wars lore videos, i think it's time i vibe coded the most overengineered star wars timeline visualizer ever
i was just about to type that i hadn't been exposed to any Welsh mythology whatsoever but upon googling, it seems like Arthur was Welsh?
really happy i decided to not pay for claude max this month
kimi 2.6 is my new favorite toy and it's so much cheaper

i've never used this much codex before
this was going to be a ~60 step ralph loop but i got it done about as well (i.e. something that would take me ~5 hours to clean up, which, for the amount of work, is really not a lot) with a single codex session
bsky.app/profile/texo...
i just only ever use it for long running tasks. i've had something running for the last ~4 hours now in codex. pi for regular work where there's a ton of back and forth
it does it better, ya. it does some server-side compaction that's way better than anything else i've tried
To be clear the vibe slop generating ralph, not throwing up, but on further thought they’re the same thing
lord have mercy I’m bout to ralph
