Trans birders unite!
Your regular reminder that dehumanizing the people who are dehumanizing others isn’t how we’re gonna get to liberation.
We have to live into the world we want to create.
2025 has been an incredibly hard year for trans people. And yet... the political project to erase us is failing. In spite of them having so many levers of power, many of us have continued to thrive, and new pathways open up every day to get around the attacks.
My case for hope for 2026.
This really seems like a path forward - use the party funds to create social events for voters, particularly young voters. Make some actual third spaces. Create real civic engagement and show some actual *gasp* leadership
I love ice dyed fabric. But also - a fitted sheet tutorial would have rocked
Solidarity, sister. I can't decide still if it's too early to leave, or if it's already too late.
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera
In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.
As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.
Huh, the feds I work with said it still has to be authorized, even if they were due back pay. I suppose they could be misinformed
Unfortunately, only if Congress authorizes it. Only federal employees get back pay, as well - contractors do not get paid during shutdowns.
For my Burns Notice newsletter, I wrote about what it was like being a trans person and see the entire right wing try to incite pogrom on us over the last several weeks. burns-notice.ghost.io/what-am-i-su...
Well, there it is. Sinclair is digging in for a fight, so please help push back -- find stations in your area, watch their local news to see what ads they run, then write those advertisers to tell them you're boycotting as long as they're on a Sinclair station.

The Trump regime is moving to declare all trans people mentally deficient and exempt us from Constitutional rights.
They watched Americans accept our elimination from the government, media, schools and teams, with nothing more than shrugs. Every time they took another step, Americans looked away.
Fat Float weekend is soon in Rochester, NY! Please share to get the word out.
Alan Cumming on bathroom bills:
"Why on earth would a rapist go through the bother of pretending to be trans in a country that treats rapists better than trans people."
He just dropped $280,000,000 worth of artillery in a war that’s not ours, but our grandparents have to live on Ramen noodles because America can’t afford Meals on Wheels anymore.
Make it make sense.
Can't say I blame her, especially over the winter!
Glad to see Penny! I've only see Prudy out on walks for a bit and I was concerned...
I need Jenna to see this. We now have a dedicated plant room to keep them safe
people who try to bully others for movement-building cringe shall be bullied back three fold in return
A simple artwork that says "Transgender People Did Not Tank Your Stocks."
Transgender People Did Not Tank Your Stocks
Rage at the Person Who Did!
How long until Trump tried to replace him?
Social media in general is slowly becoming unusable. Moderation is key to keeping it civil, but the more the onus is on the user, the worse it is.
Reddit is far from perfect, but the karma system they have in place does a pretty good job of keeping trolls at bay, in my experience.
Lots of great stuff in NWV the last few years. Tavos, Altbar, now Voula's.... Great little neighborhood to be in
Cory Booker will break the record for longest Senate floor speech at 7:19 PM EDT. Fewer than 2 hours from now. The record is held by Strom Thurmond, who was arguing for segregation. GO CORY, GO!
This sure doesn’t surprise me.
I'd forgotten what real winter was like
Public comment is now open for passport gender marker changes.
You can go here to go to each of the three proposed passport rules, and submit comment.
My suggestion: be unique, argue for trans-inclusive policies, against the constitutionality of the changes, etc.
