Hey, so instead of paying for that Pitchfork subscription may I recommend using that $50 to support @thequietus.com or @hearingthingsco.bsky.social or perhaps best of all, the artists you’ve enjoyed but have only ever streamed?

Dusting off the ol’ Voice of Saturn drone machine. Built this from a kit 15 years ago or so. Basic, but does the job. #ambientmusic #experimentalmusic #music

Ambient music is healing

concept: two ambient producers have a beef with each other and produce diss tracks that are just pleasant soundscapes that become dissonant when their rival’s name is uttered by an echoing disembodied voice

I’d recommend Ableton personally. I like and use both but for midi programming Ableton is miles ahead of Logic imo. You’ll be dipping your toes into midi waters often for the genres you’ve listed. For ref, I make ambient and electronic music. When I record bands or instruments I’ll go with Logic

This is an album you need in your life. Perfect for winding down before bed or with your morning coffee. I'll definitely be playing some of this on my show soon.

A reminder to revisit those ancient unfinished tracks on your hard drive! I’m going through some now, and all of them have bits and bobs that will fit with the new stuff I’m working on now. It’s like discovering a little part of me always wanted to make these new tracks #music #ambient #experimental

Hark, by Tired Wires 5 track album

Thought I’d share my first #ambientmusic release from back in the day (2013). It’s fun to go back sometimes and study my own work and the methods I used to make sounds. Hope you all enjoy if you happen to check it out. 🎧

I’ve always found it a bit clunky myself. I’m pretty used to it by now I’d say!
