My only guess as to why Sounders ownership and FO were ineffectual: They looked at LAFC, COL, MIA & decided to spend money on things other than the roster. Have a year to develop youth, complete contracts & be stronger in 2025. One bought out contract and signing would have probably = a cup. Almost
