Replace "Republicans" with "ruling class" and you've got a pretty bulletproof social theory.

With respect, I'd like to see this figure confirmed from a more objective source.

I'd like to hear GS & RM in dialogue. RM needs to tell GS about MMT & GS needs to point out some of the hurdles that have to be jumped before MMT can change UK policy.

Of course, both of them might consider the Chicago Plan, full-reserve banking, everlasting tokens & 'debt-free' money...

We live in the age of Rancid Capitalism where you are charged more and more for services that don't work because the same people own them all and there is no choice.

There is only one solution destroy the system and get rid of the parasites in charge.

In 2003, anti-war activists broke into RAF Fairford to stop US bombers heading to Iraq.

Keir Starmer defended their actions and said it was justified to prevent war crimes.

Now his government is banning Palestine Action for doing the same.

The Prime Minister is a hypocrite.

Today, Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced her funding plans for schools through to 2029.

And thanks to you -- we won back billions for schools.

There's a long way to go. But today, we're celebrating a win for schools.

My only problem with Bluesky is that, as a UK resident who mostly follows UK accounts, I nevertheless get deluged with US posts. I can't bear Trump, but I have a limited appetite for being told over & over what a bellend he is.

BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.”

They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

The most disillusioned are often those, who are keeping their head above water, they can (literally) keep the lights and heating on - but have to tell their kids to put treats back in the supermarket or can't go on a day trip.

This was a conscious, deliberate project by Osborne and Cameron, not for any real reason but because it struck them as the type of things Tories should do. The political/media class jointly crushed and annihilated the anti-austerity movement that grew organically to resist it, working hand in hand.

Well it would sure help if there was literally any economic incentive for people to have kids.

Bank chiefs to Reeves: Ditch ring-fencing to boost UK economy The bosses of HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, NatWest Group and Santander UK have told the chancellor the moment has come to abolish bank ring-fencing in an explosive letter obtained by Sky News.

Bank chiefs to Reeves: Ditch ring-fencing to boost UK economy.

Speculative part of banking was ring-fenced from retail after the 2007-08 crash to contain crashes.

Most post-crash reforms now reversed, govts push deregulation.

Playing with fire. People will bear the cost of reckless practices.

It's perfectly clear. They were cheesed off about THEIR OWN kids having to mask up. They don't give a stuff about SOMEONE ELSE'S kids being deported.
