Yeah, BSky compression annihilated those images, first one has some lightly visible batches near the horizon, and the second one has them more evenly spaced in GEO

Yup, and since to avoid losses the panel is always pointed directly towards the sun, you wouldn't get Iridium-like flashes, nor would you see the trusses below (that would be in shadow)...
That leaves the rectenna, which would be visible, but in most cases the Sun would be lighting it up at [...]

I did simulate it in fact, with the TLW Monolith-class SSP (10x5km), the panel itself isn't really very visible, the rectenna (1km) is the most visible part (white), and in the worst of cases one of these is barely more visible than an average star.
Since they're in GEO, they also don't move much...

Step 1: Circle the Moon.

Pas plus tard que hier, ça se pignolait sur les supposées photos du RQ-180 prises en grèce, et comment il est trop super grand, et doit être super puissant vu qu'il est top secret, et t'inquiète, le fait qu'il ai exactement la même forme qu'un B-21 peint en noir est une coincidence...

Ah faut pas me lancer, des Jean-Michel Northrop on s'en filoche plein (TLW oblige), et la musique change pas. "Trust me bro, le F35 il est si avancé qu'y décide tout seul quand faut tirer", "Non mais le THAAD il a pas pris un Shahed, papossib', z'on dû le pousser tellement fort qu'il a pris feu !"

Solution possible (et potentiellement stylée) : Une des Lunes (Io, ou un bolide extra-solaire capturé entre temps) s'est fracturée, soit en passant sous la limite de Roche de Jupiter, soit après une collision fortuite, et les anneaux sont vachement plus grands dans ce futur lointain...

L'idée de tuners qui font leurs propres batteries haute-performance dans leurs garages est assez terrifiante...
Je me souviens m'être posé la même question quant aux fictions avec des tech auto alternatives, comme les roues sphériques de I-Robot ou les routes magnétiques du remake de Total Recall...

TBH, the more I use it, the more I dislike AgX. Anything vaguely saturated becomes a grey mess at the slightest touch of light... Worst offender is Blackbody thermal gradients, IMO.
Thus far, the best replacement I've found is JP2499DRT by Juan Pablo Zambrano...

C'est, IMHO, beaucoup dû au fait que se figurer pas mal de ces concepts est pas toujours donné, et une représentation/mise en situation, qu'elle soit audiovisuelle ou textuelle, rends le tout vachement plus tangible pour pas mal de gens. Ça pose un jalon sur lequel s'appyuer...

L'impact de The Expanse sur la perception des torches et un méta où ça se tripouille a coup de missiles vs PDC est un bon exemple, mais même à plus petite échelle j'ai été aux premières loges pour noter, niveau artistique, un avant et un après The Lunar War, avec la normalisation des "coneships"...

Mouais, conceptuellement, pourquoi pas, mais je suis pas certain que ça soit aussi conscient que ça...
IMO, c'est aussi surtout juste de l'osmose culturelle qui est infléchie par des milestones importantes qui réajustent le point de vue de pas mal de gens...

Honestly, cursory glance tells me you seem to have the basics down pretty well, from there it kinda depends what you want to do with these models, and how far you wanna push them... Would be glad to help if you ever want a hand for anything Blender-related !
