Love this so much.

In OH here--my state leads the playbook on rigging districts. So fun! We're #1!
Can't wait to see OH elected officials that have R supermajorities in all my state legislatures complain about how unfair VA's new maps are
Student: "I wish I was born in 1976 or 1977" Me: why? Student sighs: "an 80s childhood & a 90s adolescence sounds pretty cool" Dear reader, it was. We had a TIME. Found this today & note the Chuck E Cheese sign begging politely "please don't smoke in the game room." At least they tried.
really saying the quiet part out loud here
Thank you! I wasn't aware of this!
I'm just a teacher
begging actual news outlets
to stop putting EVERYTHING factual behind a paywall
so my students can look at actual news for free and not misinformation for free
I need these
Opposition leader Péter Magyar at a rally.
Orbán's electoral crushing is a far greater achievement than most people outside Hungary realise.
He systemically consolidated power for 16 years, fixed the electoral map, abused govt power for political purposes & censored media.
The hurdles that Hungarians overcame for this moment were immense.
I don’t think I understood what the Challenger did to me as a kid and how worried I was for these four amazing brave humans and everyone who helped make this mission happen. Anyway, just some happy tears over here and a sense of awe.
Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.
Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!
🌕 💛
A workout class but someone just teaches me all the cool dances from Janet Jackson videos
April from Parks and Rec saying “because I didn’t think March 31st existed.”
"What would actual atonement look like? For Belgium, it would entail a forthright apology and an admission of institutional responsibility. For the US, it could mean...(to) treat Congo as a nation with aspirations of its own rather than a mine to be managed." www.nytimes.com/2026/03/26/o...
We need to remember the Triangle Fire not only because it was a tragedy but because it made people realize they can mobilize together and bring change. The fire made people understand why we need unions and then propelled them to do something about it. 🗃️
So hard. It really shouldn't be this hard.
Glad to know I'm not the only one 💛
Feeling this. 48 here, too. It feels like a daily battle to stay optimistic, but I don't want to fall into a trap of cynicism and exhaustion, either.
I feel like so many issues in history education can be fixed by answering the question, "What are we even doing here?" If the answer isn't centering and challenging students, deep thinking, creating and constructing arguments with evidence, evaluating sources--then, for real: what are we even doing?
hot damn, I will definitely be changing my lessons on Cesar Chavez
pretty disgusting
Last night I went to a candlelight concert where a string Quartet played an all Metallica set at the Cleveland, Museum of Art and let me just say it was exactly what I needed in that moment
Yup, mine was "gifted" but "needs to improve self-control"
Just a reminder that Muslims have been on this continent since the first arrival of non-Indigenous people. They were among the first generation of Americans, and have been here ever since.
Ohhhhh to be in a state that valued the humanities/social studies!
Just did the New Deal in essentially two periods. It's bananas
I feel like in APUSH we have to go faster and faster every year and I have to cut more and more things I used to do and in no way shape or form is this course like a college course if we are being honest with ourselves.
I don't know what the solution is, short of breaking this course apart
High school kids are honestly the best people and if you aren't around them much you're missing out. Inquisitive, resilient, absolutely hilarious. Not afraid to call things out that need to be called out. They are the best of us. #iteachsocialstudies
Police said the call came from Dayton or was a Dayton number. I hope they catch those responsible. The kids were scared.
This completely sucked. 0/10 experience, hands still shaking. I hope they catch those responsible. www.wkyc.com/article/news...
Good morning teachers. It is only March. Drink water. Eat real food. If you can, lock your door for 15 minutes at lunch to breathe, stretch, nap, whatevs. Don't forget the healing power of 5 minutes of fresh air. We still have many rivers to cross. Let love be our foundation.
"rugged individualism"
This is really disturbing. And really important.
