A family of Ravens is putting the goth back in gothic at NYC's largest cathedral--St John the Divine. There are five mouths to feed, so the parents are staying busy! ⛪️⛪️⛪️ #Ravens #Cathedral #birding

The comments are definitely worth the read. My great aunt would always pat my cheek and call me “different girl” and tended to give me shiny coins and beads to “protect me.” I wish I had asked more questions about that.
This video of a Ukrainian Yak-52 crew taking down drones with a shotgun is incredible, but the music is deeply, and profoundly inappropriate. There was really only one option. So I've fixed it.
Yup. Completely different birds. I was shocked when o found out your robins and my robins were different t!

cognitive reframing:
I am putting ice cream in my coffee -> I am out of milk because I am disorganized -> negative affect
I am putting ice cream in my coffee -> I am making affogato, a sophisticated italian dessert -> positive affect
I absolutely embrace the chaos. They are wonderfully unpredictable little creatures!
Did the same thing in my last session. Put my party in a big city with no defined goal. Have now prepped 3 shops, 1 library, 2 NPC set piece locations, 2 random city encounters, and 3 new quests. On the plus side, I shouldn't have to prep more for at least a month!
A tortle Druid freshly off the painting stations. So many amazing details on this sculpt from Mammoth Factory.

Oh I completely understand! I think you can buy the STL files directly from Mammoth too.
It’s designed by Mammoth Factory Games. I got it on Etsy from PaintedOrNot who is a great seller!

Dungeons and dragons mini of a turtle creature with mushrooms and fungus growing on its shell. It is carrying a staff topped with three yellow mushrooms.

A freshly finished mini! This one took about 20 hours or so and taught me so much! Those tiny mushrooms details were so fun 🥰

Image of the front and back of a 3D printed and painted Dungeons and Dragons miniature. This frog creature, who carries a spear adorned with skulls, is wearing a purple loin cloth, brown fur cloak and gold and silver belt reminiscent of the very best of 1980s WWF wrestling.
I just started a @pckt.blog to put all of my mini painting and TTRPG musings and projects in one place. Come and find me here: wanderingyeti.pckt.blog

In the process of writing this week’s #Daggerheart campaign and I’ve realized that I need to prep 5 different scenarios because my PCs could do any number of unexpected things! Why did I think setting them loose in a city was a good idea?! #ttrpg #GMProblems #ForeverDM
There's a great story by Khadra Ahmed about the detective work, incl in the latest Foyer newsletter. readfoyer.com/article/meet...
Today at lunch, I found a fossil, sat in the sun, ate a delicious kolache, drank iced coffee that felt stupidly extravagant because it cost $6, and managed to convince myself I do not need an espresso machine just because I want affogato on demand. Not bad for an average Thursday.

I love this, but can you please Alt text your images so that they are accessible to everyone?

Having to switch from Chicago (history degree) to APA (library science degree) made me want to cry. APA is the worst and I never want to use it again.
You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.

Thank you! Honestly, I thought he was just a really cool mini that looked fun to paint. He’s currently guarding one of my houseplants. He might pop up as an NPC in a game though.
